Thanks, hope I can get out more often. Weather here absolutely appalling at the moment, high winds, heavy rain and several trees down so not going to be in the next few days.

Nice shot, I love my fox shooting. The Tikka T3X is a cracking rifle, I have one in .243 & love it.

Can't beat foxing on a cold clear night. Not seeing many foxes which is a surprise, estate next door stopped all shooting activity 12 months ago. I had expected to see foxes crossing over to my shoot, so far have seen fewer than in previous years. Presumably they are not being pushed over the boundary by shooting pressure, probably won't last, as the numbers build up on the estate youngsters will need to go further afield to find new territories. Mine's a t3x lite in .223, added a Kalix Teknik adjustable cheek piece, shoots sub half moa all day with home loads. Thanks for watching here's to a better new year.

You are a verry good hunter, not the trigger happy type, you show patience and skills. Also, you are mentioning the risks of speeding on dark field roads and potentially hitting deer or wild boar. People shoud be aware of this and the havoc the cause by hitting a deer and getting away crippled and starving a long and painful deth. Keep on making video's like this and I like your educational voiceover.

Excellent work like the way you took your time and got the shot right good stuff

Cheers Neil, out on these big open fields there's no need to rush. Was surprised at how little interest it showed in the caller, at least it did draw the fox out of the hedgerow. Have to try a different call next time. Thanks for watching.

@@norfolksquirreller alot of people using rabbit distress in Norfolk I think I find the same they come so far then take little notice I use a tikka1x 17hmr mostly for rabbits and very close fox 75 yard I'm in Attleborough so we chew the same dirt lol

Reckon I'll try the Pheasant Distress call next time. You seeing many rabbits your way, numbers increasing here but still a bit scarce?

Cheers Simon. The NV008LRF is a great unit, hard to beat it for the money. I like it because it is so much lighter than the Dronepro I was using, DronePro is a better night sight but not dramatically so. Thanks for watching.

Nice shot.. I don't get out much on foxes these days, so I'm still old school with my fox gear, .223 CZ527 + Lightstream day scope, ASE UTRA moderator. I have my accomplice spot em with the thermal, and light em up with the lamp. I use a similar load to yours, Sierra game king 1390 55gn (someone donated 500 to me🙂 ), 24.2 gn Vhit N133, CCI 400 primers. I've got some benchrest primers, had them for years but never got round to trying them for fox rounds. Do they seem any more consistant? Just keep on shootin' Pete in Essex
@norfolksquirreller4 жыл бұрын
With the rotten weather and no pheasant release I'm not getting out much either. Used to do a lot of lamping, got a lot of foxes over the years but now shoot on my own on foot, still enjoy the odd outing with the lamp. As for the BR4 primers all I can say is that the loads are very consistent over the chrono. Thanks for watching, stay safe

Sirius XTL, I tried the Solaris SRX but found the beam to narrow even on flood. The Sirius has a larger lens and gives a more even light spread. Thanks for watching.
