As much as I love Fennec foxes, I wouldn't want one as a pet. WAY too much work and I am not the most patient person on this Earth! It's amazing that you guys have put so much hard work and dedication to your fox's needs and his own personality, which I am sure has had its fair share of challenges along the way. Worms! Fennecs love worms. I mostly use morioworms and wax worms. After that comes freeze dried chicken heart or freeze dried tuna (they are being sold as cat treats). And after that I use dried chicken strips, these are 100% chicken dog treats (no salts, sugar, starch).
