FOX RACING SHOX FLOAT GEN 2 EVOL ATV SHOCK REPAIR DISASSEMBLY

I have never found anyone explaining how to take apart the ATV/ Snowmobile Fox Float X EVOL shocks. so i made this video to show disassembly.

i ended up needing shock fixed in a hurry and didn't take video of it being reassembled. i am looking for a shock to do the new video with right now hopefully find something soon.

I'm having trouble finding the pressure setting for the bladder chamber and fluid levels for rebuilding my fox float x non evol. Any idea where to get this information easily?.

I've a pair rc2 evol3. I send them for a service couse they're too stiff. But still stiff. I've use all in 12 and 45 for main and 140 evol... what coul be the problem with them? they practically don't work they just bounce hard.. thaaanks!!

open rebound and the compression all the way up and see if that helps. if it doesn't valving is way off.

Do i need nitrogen in high pressare to assembly

yes at least 250 PSI nitrogen and the proper tools to recharge it.

Love the vice grip and belt trick I use to do that all the time. www.harborfreight.com/rubber-strap-wrench-set-2-pc-69373.html These will help you out a little though

Do you repair shocks for people?

i just do my own shocks and made this video because I was tired of paying high rebuild costs for something that isn't so difficult to do.

@@Benbuilt4u I have a sled I just bought with the fox float 3 evol r rear track shock and the shock body has some damage on the exterior but not bent or dented. I know the guy was riding it before I bought it that way so not sure if it effects the shock as I know very little about these. What do you think the cost should be to replace that?
