They have zero evidence that she was involved on the murders and actually do have evidence that she believed their mumbo jumbo, so no she wouldn't be on trial. It would be pretty much impossible to convict someone on a murder charge just because they were gullible to religious fraudsters. Also you should be very cautious about what you say in court, especially to the attorney that's looking to trip you up anyway they can. It's incredibly important that you don't just rapidly spit out words that could mess up a criminal case. Anyone who is actually prepared for testifying, will take time to think before they give the answer. She takes a little longer than most, but she's being smart.

You think she LET them brainwash her? That's not only about intelligence by the way. Just like a lot of people are tricked by scams that a lot of us would laugh at. Those people aren't always less intelligent, just incredibly gullible. People that have a lot of trauma or adversity growing up can become less trusting of themselves which allows them to fall for manipulation from others. Then you have to look at the religious aspect. When you grow up being taught to believe all kinds of unbelievable things and to just "have faith", you could be set up to be gullible to religious lies. If you are taught to believe that there ARE religious beings out there, its not that far of a stretch to believe that someone you know is one of them. It also depends on how people look at things, intuitively or analytically(scientifically). Religions can be very anti-science and basically all intuitive thinking with leaps of faith. That can set some people up to be extremely gullible, specifically to religious scammers. It's a bit disingenuous to just say it's stupidity when so much goes into what makes almost half of our population gullible and easily manipulated. It was really beneficial in early humans to be intuitive and to trust the things that people told you about the world. In our present day world, it's incredibly important to be more skeptical and to think about most things critically. Not everyone's brain is wired to do that. That's why scams are billion dollar industries and those are strangers getting away with that! Imagine how easy it is for those people to fall for scams from their inner circle.

East Idaho News hired an attorney when Judge Boyce initially said no cameras in the courthouse would be allowed. The attorney's for East Idaho News went to bat for us to try to get Judge Boyce to overturn his ruling, which clearly failed. What's rediculous is this lie about the angel Moroni visiting her over and over telling her what to do. Some people who joined the faith had to hand over everything they had in order to be a member because they were gullible enough think such an angel and the golden tablets existed. And the last doctrine of the 4 that the religions goals were...to help the poor and needy was dropped pretty quick. Joseph Smith and his cronies found a get rich quick scheme. He changed the original bible he wrote to accomodate the mistakes he made that didn't make sense. He was a con and so is she and that Chad guy. A pretty screwy organization. The "latter day" comes from the point where Joseph was writing his last version of the Bible by staring into a trance at a rock in his hat...while he was taking a "thinking on a higher level" serum. He never got to finish it because he was shot for his polygamist views, marrying over 40 women some of which were children, and trying to take members from other religious groups. The history of the Mormon faith is not a good one. When I was 13, I saw the commercials and thought the people were so nice and clean I told my mother I wanted to join them, which I did. It didn't last long but left a lasting impression of something that is not explainable...like a black smudge all over the body that you can't wash off. Trust me, these people who orchestrated these murders have nothing but evil in them. It's definitely not the first time there's been murders, rape, abuse, etc in that organization. I have a hard time reading the comments on trials anymore because so much of it is people being incredibly judgemental of every little thing everyone does. Court is stressful beyond belief! So I imagine there might be some odd behavior, nervousness, umms, mispronounced words, long pauses, noises from bodily functions,etc. When did this community become so critical of everything? It must be a lot of really unhappy people that feel better by putting everyone and everything down. From clothes, hair, voices, the way people talk or look, minor mistakes, not remembering things from years ago,etc. I hope at some point you all realize that this is why more trials aren't livestreamed. The judges do it to protect everyone in the courtroom from the insane public!

With the exception of Federal cases, ALL court cases have to open to the public in some sort of capacity. That's what makes part of our Judicial system unique from other countries. It's public because it is in the publics interest, since they are paying for it & defendant is considered innocent unless & until they are adjudicated guilty. Even if it's only the courts in-house video/audio of the case, the general public has access to State cases

I'm studying law ATM & even though I'm studying law in Australia, I've been taught that our legal system is still basically the same as America & England's, coz we both got our legal systems from England to begin with. & I recently learned all the most used "objections" to use in court... so I've been practising when I'd use them in this case if I were Lori's lawyer... but her lawyer has stayed pretty quiet & has objected in a few places I wouldn't. Not that I can always tell if it's Archibald or Thomas! But I think it's mostly been Archibald! He seems really caring though. I might not like lori for taking these 2 beautiful children's lives when they depended on her to love & care for them... but I do like her lawyers! Well mostly Archibald, coz I seen him working more back when cameras were allowed in the court room😍😍😍! It sucks that someone tried to bomb & kill him just for doing his job. But u gotta admit... it really can't b easy being her lawyer. Coz I can't Imagining her contributing much help for her defence! I bet he was never able to talk her round to pleading guilty... so I'm hoping they both come out of this case with their reputations in tact!🤞🤞🤞

I haven't sorted out which attorney representing Lori is which, in terms of their names attached to their voices, makes me realize how visual I am. But I will say that the one who did the opening statement was clearly a reluctant defense attorney for Lori. Kind of made me feel for the guy. I believe that was Archibald? But his disclaimer was such that it concerned me from the beginning if that is going to be fodder for her appeal. You can't blame him, but he has a job to do and thinking about what people think of him is not that much a part of it, although it's of course completely natural that he would. He's only human.

I just started watching this. I don’t know much about her phsycy . When they speak of Temple can someone tell me what religion she is? I’m a true born again Christian and Consider myself to be spiritual because when we first meet Jesus our eyes and minds are open to the spiritual warfare called the battle between good and evil! It took me til I was 44yrs old to realize Jesus was so much more than just a baby born in a manger and that’s why we had Christmas! When I was 13 I was given the choice by my parents to quit going to church or stay. I was so happy that I didn’t have to go anymore. There are so many different sects of Mormons, they all study the Book of Mormon and the book of Joseph Smith more than the Holy Bible! The Holy Bible says not to add or subtract from His Written (breathed) Word!!! By adding these two books which were NOT written with Gods anointing, but by man alone!!! So many cults from Mormonism are guided by evil entities because these people are adding to and twisting Gods Word. Satan knows Gods Word perfectly, that’s how he is able to use it to manipulate so many Mormons,jehovas witnesses, seventh day Adventists, Catholics!! A true Christian desires to read and study what Jesus taught His disciples. He came here to show Gods children how to love unconditionally and live according to Gods will , His nature! I have no Religion. When people ask me my religion I tell them I’m a Christian ( A true believer and follower of Jesus Christ ). Jesus didn’t say our lives would be without suffering! He said “take up your cross and follow me!” Hallelujah. I’m sorry that I got off track. I know what this woman did and she’s truly sick in her mind due to this brainwashing religion. I can only pray for those that are still alive and being tormented by the loss of these babes. Someone that is a fully grown adult who should know right from wrong regardless of upbringing had a chance to give over evidence and then didnt going as far as to remove and try to destroy that evidence full well knowing the children were missing. Not to mention recieving money from Tylees accounts knowing she was missing and always asking for money. Of course he is a victim in some ways but he has some responsibility in hiding things for Lori that could have saved lives. But team Colby wont ever accept that. He is also very decent at using the deaths of his siblings to support himself for years rather than work (there is another person who is similar) he is very much formed in the same mold as his Mom. Here's hoping he decides to actually get counseling not be a religious zelot and find a balance of reality and faith.
