I live near Holly Springs, and this reporter is doing the right thing. Ya'll have no idea what this mayor has been doing to the citizens of Holly Springs and Marshall County. She needs to be held accountable for her actions. Thank you, Kate Bieri!

I’m sorry, but all of you in the comments complaining have NO idea what this woman has done to Holly Springs and if you were living there and going through the issues the Holly residents have endured, you would be singing a much different tune. I admit I voted for her because of what she promised to do and I believed Holly Springs needed a strong black woman to represent the town, but she has deliberately neglected the needs of this town. She is the highest paying mayor in MS and has done nothing to deserve it. Holly Springs NEEDS people like this reporter because nobody has done a thing about her! If people continue to persist, maybe just maybe it will make a change!

Not to mention the fact that she has run the utility department into the ground. But TVA is on her butt now, they gave her 45 days to present changes. Likely she will not, and to top all of that off, she doesn't even live in Holly Springs. She used her parents' address to get into office, but she really lives in a lavish townhouse in Collierville, Tennessee. And her boyfriend is a thug, he got put in jail years ago for fraud and embezzlement in Jackson when she was State Attorney. I am not making any of this up, the mayor is pure, undeterred evil. She was willing to let elderly folks and other people freeze to death because of the ice storm. I know someone on the other side of the lake in Lake Estates that was out of power for 9 days. It was bad. And she sits up there in City Hall (on the extremely rare occasions that she is there) and lies to everyone including the people that voted for her, the board of aldermen, everybody. She is the reason that the state of Holly Springs is quickly deteriorating. Driving down roads like Lemac Avenue, Chulahoma Avenue, and Salem Avenue, some spots I think we are living in Memphis. It is all ridiculous.

As a news photographer I would never do this to anyone. All the reporter has to do is say we reached out to the Mayor for comment on several occations and she refused to comment.
