@someguy5909 Жыл бұрын
DPFs do not "clog" after 30,000 miles, most modern diesel engines including light duty ones in pickup trucks do a process called regeneration where they superheat the DPF to clear the particulate build-up inside, most of the time it is passive generation meaning it can happen while you are driving or idling the vehicle and besides any indicator lights the operator of the vehicle wouldnt even notice it happening, as it has no effect on the vehicles operation. DPFs are intended to last the entire lifespan of the vehicle, and should only be replaced as necessary, usally in relation to other component faliure causing damage to them.

Yeah but most of the semis you see "Rolling coal" are pre-emission. So 2007 or older and actually most of those are ran by small carriers say 10 trucks or less all the big boys have newer (usually no more than a couple years old) trucks, and by the way it is illegal to modify a semi to bypass the emissions equipment (DPF) at least for commercial service anyway.......

I’ll tell you now you cannot see a damn thing. And it’s fucking scary as shit being on a bike when you cannot see. Second thing I want to address is doctors or scientist do not need to be a diesel technician to understand that diesel smoke is unhealthy. That being said I own a diesel , I sont agree with what happened it at the same time I don’t roll coal and my power stroke is a fucking beast.
