I had my car stolen , and police discovered it , the police had it towed to a yard. And i had to pay to have my (stolen) car returned to me. I consider this theft even from the tow company. It is a necessary evil i suppose.

But...if this is jury tainting, why haven't ANY of the defense attorneys brought a motion to change venue or filed a motion to quash? Or, better yet, filed suit to make him stop doing these pressers? Here's why.. Because he is very careful to say nothing more than what is available thru a FOIA request (freedom of information act). And, there is no difference than if he was to sit in his office and give individual interviews to each journalist, which is what most Sheriff's do. Essentially, the only way to stop this would be for the SCOTUS to place a Permanent Gag Order on EVERY cop across the nation... And I dont see that happening with the current geopolitical mess going on. Peace ✌

No doubt these killer tow truck fools are awful… but he’s bragging about a job he’s paid handsomely to do. This is what all police departments do. They make an arrest and build a case. I knew a guy that would use his tow truck to steal people's vehicles, then take them to a scrap yard at the port that would chop them into three pieces and get them out of the country as fast as possible. Disgusting. He's in prison, but the port should be investigated also for accepting 100% functional vehicles, and had to know that the paperwork was forged. All he did was pay a homeless person to sign it SMH.

In these press conferences it really seems that way doesn't it? Don't get me wrong, I live here and the last few years I've seen a great positive effect on this part of the state under his leadership, but everybody forgets all the corruption and blood that was on his hands when he was coming up that always got swept under the rug because his family ties that were his seniors in the sheriff's office, city commissions, state attorneys office, politicians and most importantly the Ku Klux Klan

It is illegal, atleast here in Massachusetts theres tons of guidelines for what makes something towable/impoundable. Dosent mean they follow them, but they do exist. It's all about who you know. I used too tow cars for a living but my boss was super sketchy and then we started doing private property tows (like this one in the incident) and that's when I tapped out. Something about kidnapping someones property for ransom seemed, unethical. Not to mention it wasnt worth me losing my life too benefit someone else's financial greed. Been 7 years since I towed my last car and I haven't been this stress free in years.

He was an awesome person. He smoked weed and blasted Metallica and other bands on way to drop me off at kindergarten. He didn’t smoke weed on way to kindergarten. Lol He also wasn’t my bio dad or my step dad. He and my mother were never sexually intimate. My bio dad wasn’t in my life and my step dad was good guy but very quiet person. He met my mom when they were teenagers. My mom was 17 pregnant with my older sister. I was born a year later. When they met he had just been jumped. My mom, aunts and memaw were sitting on front porch and saw him all bloodied up. They fixed him up gave him something to eat and from that day forward he was a close family friend who was in every way a dad to me.

Your dad probably had the big wrecker in which he pulled vehicles up onto a bed with chain and wench. Much safer for everybody and less likely to damage the towed vehicle. These assholes had the scoop arm modified truck that can tow away a vehicle in less than 60 seconds and often damages the vehicle.

@@rush1er I think his main truck was a flat bed but I’m sure he has driven several different kinds. His had to stop towing because he was doing a tow and he was pulling the car onto the flat bed. I’m not sure exactly what happened but something on the car or the chain on tow truck snapped and the car came rolling down on him. His foot was pretty much hanging off his leg just held on by skin and soft tissue. He was obviously immobile and was put on workman’s comp or disability. After that he pretty much got depressed got addicted to pain killers than started drinking which was weird because he was just a weed guy nothing else so it was weird seeing him drunk as hell. He straightened out a little in last few years of his life but because of pain and addiction always took pain meds. His heart gave out on him in end. Best father figure in my life next to my granddaddy.

I love the way he used the Denn's macho towing company name to mock their situation. "Strapped" is slang for carrying a gun, and we see how that turned out.

@@davidcobb2693 you can Google it ....this sheriff has also said it here on one of his press discussions.....they have zero unsolved murders in their jurisdiction for 10 straight years now. That's pretty impressive as well.

I have watched a lot of these, and this sheriff is without a doubt the best one I have seen. He is very informative and goes into detail about the situation. He is very knowledgeable about what he is talking about. He is without a doubt a person of great moral character and value to the citizens he protects and serves. Awesome job sir!
