Every road in America is a drug superhighway. Arkansas' stretch of I40 is only a tiny bit of it. I remember having to drive to Louisiana to buy booze. On the way back, there's always a sheriff waiting to pull someone over and bust them for a bottle of whiskey. Same game, alcohol is legal now, though.

In 20 minutes of driving yesterday in central Arkansas, I counted 32 cars with tags from Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma .. You see the car trains coming up from Mexico all the time, especially on the weekend.. One car or minivan or small truck towing a train of 2 or 3 others vehicles ..Most of the time without tags and certainly not properly secured for towing .. And I will almost guarantee at least half those cars have drugs in them ..

Policing for profit. That's all this is they even said it themselves in the report hard drugs are not the issue here they're more worried about a plant and policing for profit. All the money they find should not go to the department that finds it It should go to non-profits for homeless veterans that have served this country and deserve better than we give them.

My brother in law was a DOT lieutenant with the Arkansas Highway Police. He was with the Highway Police 34 years. He lived in West Memphis and was in charge of the way stations there. At one time they confiscated $3.75 million. That is the busiest section of road in the entire country where I-55 intersects I-40. He retired about 15 years ago.
