I ride down Schoenherr going to and from work daily. What he’s saying is true! I have been stopped by police a few feet away from crossing 8 mile. They sit a block off of 8 mile and prey on people crossing over into Detroit. I’ve even seen them go across 8 mile and pull into the parking lot of a Boost Mobile, which is on the Detroit side. They prey on Detroiters and focus on the people driving down 8 mile on the Detroit side instead of policing their own city.

It’s sad they lost their lives and the officers should be held accountable, by a criminal trial, not a civil suit that cost the people money.

@dudemorris7769 what else could they have sued for if not money? Do you think before you speak? Money can bring some peace to the family as a punitive measure against the department, sure. But if the financial sting is painful enough, police policies may change as a result - money is a great motivator. Then the family could take solace in potentially saving others' lives. No change will happen without punishing the department. And if that means that this family becomes filthy rich in the process and can find some joy after losing a loved one, good for them

Smh. Senseless for warren police to act this way. I can attest to their negligence with my own eyes. Back n 2018 They were chasing a vehicle that was coming into head on traffic and i was one of the cars. If i was not able to swerve as i did, they would have hit me head on with my child in the car!

It is a bit crazy watching videos of cops driving like maniacs. I watch alot of police chase videos, they speed double and triple the speed limit, passing other cars on all sides, going right thru red lights. And the reason why they drive reckless? To catch a supposed speeder, or someone who supposedly didnt use a blinker or other small reasons.

What supposedly happened? The video clip I watched looked like a white suv was turning left and the cop car was going straight. Couldn't tell speed because the video was slowed down. I'd love to see video from that cop car.
