Roofing company lawsuits chasing out fla INS companies are a part of the problem. I would love to know the percent of damage those lawsuits did. We all have higher premiums because of fake lawsuits. Is this a class action against these lying companies?

I'm happy to say they are developing pumps out in the ocean that will pump cooler water up to the surface to keep hurricanes from strengthening, possibly even forming. Hope this technology comes out sooner rather than later 🤞

It'll increase once it opens up wide in the warm waters. No one really knows where it'll come on. Ugh, this may sound crazy but I have found. Don't forget mosquito spray for the after affect. Be safe, everyone from the Bigbend. I used to live in Pasco. Just when we would think the storms would keep going up the gulf. Nope, it'll cut right in at the last minute.

It shouldn’t affect your arrival because the storm is not expected to make landfall until late Wednesday night early Thursday morning and possibly later. They still aren’t sure where exactly it will make landfall, but I would at least expect to have to spend all of Thursday indoors somewhere safe. I hope that answers your question.

too bad their Gov turned down 11 billion in infrastructure money playing politics, but he has no problem asking for emergency funding AFTER disaster has struck, the infrastructure didn't hold up and the people of Florida suffer. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure

CAT 3 Floridians worry when its 4 or 5, which it can get there. Yet there is a spaghetti model that is more accurate than others over the past years. But its nature so prepare. Also a lot of people look at a tropical storm as more rain than anything serious in FLA.

Pretty much, lived here my whole life. Been through tons and directly hit by a few, 2 of which were Cat4. You never forget the sound of endless 140+ mph winds for hours, things breaking. Can't even imagine a direct hit from a 5 like Michael or Andrew.

I'm so glad that the Republican governor of Florida has spent his time avoiding hot button social issues and instead worked with insurance companies and policy makers to build a safety net under Florida homeowners. It'd be a shame if instead of doing that, he spent all of his time obsessed with body parts and dominating the medical lives of women and girls. 🙄

@southerncatlady6680 Yeah not too worried about this one, I'm in north central now and it's likely only gonna be a CAT3 at landfall 150 or more miles from me. No water nearby, kind of a desert land where I live. Best places to live here are north central or just east. North West gulf coast and panhandle are hurricane magnets.
