Her dad said that he waited for her body to arrive at the funeral home and when he saw the box come through the back door, he cried like a baby! I can’t begin to imagine the heartbreak and feeling of loss he endured at that very moment!! He said he didn’t want to leave her in the funeral home and his friend had to pull him out! My heart fell to pieces 😢. This senseless death has broken so many hearts!! I ask God to wrap his arms around him and the family and keep them uplifted!! Justice needs to be served swiftly!!!

Really admire her mother’s strength. My daughter was 19 when she passed away & I couldn’t leave the house for 2yrs. Took me 9yrs to stop crying & now in yr 11 I can finally smile & lol at all the memories. Lost a lot of time grieving but I finally made it through. RIP Shanquella. She's maintained her composure, her pain, her anger, her patience with LE and Mexican officials and has presented herself so eloquently under the unimaginable nightmare she's facing . What a beautiful example of a woman and a mother. I have the chills...these beautiful people are calling for love, unity and hope. Respect. This story has captured my heart from the very moment it broke. I check for any updates constantly hoping to see that those despicable serpents responsible for taking Shanquella's life have been apprehended and that justice is underway for Shanquella and her family. What disgusts me the most about this is the male 'friend' who recorded the video of her being beaten and only asked 'why she didn't fight back' without intervening. This girl was laying on the ground having the life beaten out of her and the so-called 'friends' she travelled with thought this was perfectly ok. What type of vile people are these? I feel that her mother can't grieve properly because she's angry too! She's fighting for her daughter each and every day! The meaning of senseless is I think everyone thinks of this case. The fact that Shanqeulla payed for all there fares and the airbnb and they killed her barely 24 hours later then left her body there is just so cold & heartless. I have grown up in a rough area in Brooklyn, NY And I couldn't see myself doing that to anyone. They deserve the harsh hard time there facing in Mexico. No excuses what so ever.

This is every parent’s worst nightmare once your children become adults. This story really hurts me everytime I read about it and reflexed on how she died. I feel for her family and I am so glad that they are a voice for their daughter. Even though I did not know her my heart won't rest until she get the justice she deserves. Praying for ALL TO BE ARRESTED in this case that was involved.
