Alasia Franklin's friend said he was the one who found her after she had been shot on the campus of Kennesaw State University. He grew emotional as he explained that he didn't even recognize her.

I hope the kid that found her like that gets some help. That is a tough situation and he is obviously hurting from it. My wife is a professor at KSU and I constantly worry about her on campus. It seems KSU has grown a lot in the past decade but the police and security on campus haven’t kept up with the growth. I hardly ever see KSU police on campus but I see them all the time making traffic stops on Busbee, Chastain and Wadegreen. Their focus needs to be on campus and not writing speeding tickets off campus.

hello, thank you for your mentioning of this. I am a graduate student from KSU, but only due to SPSU merger with the school. IMHO the security is not good at all. A lot of the students campus security is non-existent. I pray for my family, the students and all staff that are there routinely or just visiting the campus. Hopefully this incident, not couting the minor previous KSU or board of regents ups there focus on security.

This has nothing to do with campus safety because if someone is out to harm you they will. Even if the campus had the best security money can buy, it wouldn't have protected her once she leaves the campus, like at a store, restaurant, club, at a traffic light, etc. so it's not the campus fault. Similar to when a woman gets a restraining order against someone, that paper does nothing against someone who's deranged

I know a lot of times we look at the fact that she was in college and she was invloved in so many things concerning the college. But I was not going to comment on this until I waw "He is not a Kennesaw State student according to the university". Which is very well true, he may have not been a student but he lived in the dorm for three years. I'm wondering why some of truth is being told and not all of it. People wonder how he got on campus, he lived there. Now I'm trying to figure out while it was never reported he was staying there on a more frequent basis and based upon thier policy it states "Residents may allow guests (those of the same or opposite sex) to visit their room/ unit with agreement from the other residents in their room/ unit. Overnight guests are defined as anyone who is in the room after 3:00 AM. Guests including other KSU students staying in a resident’s room more than three nights within any seven-night period, staying in a resident’s room on a frequent basis, or cohabitating in any room/ unit is prohibited.." Now the policy states "Residents may allow guests (those of the same or opposite sex) to visit their room/ unit with agreement from the other residents in their room/ unit." Even though he was not a student but the truth is no one never reported that he was cohabitating or staying in the dorm on a more requent basis. So take a look at their policy below: GUEST POLICY Residents may allow guests (those of the same or opposite sex) to visit their room/ unit with agreement from the other residents in their room/ unit. Overnight guests are defined as anyone who is in the room after 3:00 AM. Guests including other KSU students staying in a resident’s room more than three nights within any seven-night period, staying in a resident’s room on a frequent basis, or cohabitating in any room/ unit is prohibited. He did not enter the campus as an intruder, he was living there all the time.
