just for anyone that doesn't understand why use a gun and not a taser, a person can close that short of a distance incredibly fast a taser may not incapacitate the bad guy quick enough or effectively enough and not help in that circumstance. Then add the fact the person has a deadly weapon (knife) there is absolutely no option but a gun at that point. It seems like everyone in the comments probably understands that but just pointing it out for people that don't.

But to media, this is considered "excessive force." The only difference here is, since the knife holder wasn't black, it doesn't get the national attention and nationwide protests.

TOTALLY justified... When will people learn that you HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE POLICE?!? People are genuinely SO SPOILED and used to getting WHATEVER they want, that there's SERIOUSLY people out here walkin around just doing literally WHATEVER they want... THIS is EXACTLY why it's SO IMPORTANT to teach your kids to RESPECT, or at LEAST be able to LISTEN to Police officers. If you don't have ANY self discipline, then don't cry when someone ELSE is telling you where you can and can't go, when to get up, when to eat, when to sleep, and even when you can go to the bathroom... In short; Play STUPID games, wind STUPID prizes...

He gave them a lot of time to deploy a less than lethal option, I know a person can cover a short distance pretty quickly so a knife should rightly be seen as a legitimate threat. One of the officers had actually holstered his weapon, he had more than enough time to get a taser out.
@staysimple2481 Жыл бұрын
@@willowwood3384 they definitely had the chance to non lethal and they shouldve tried that, but also in moments like that where the guy is 10 feet away a lot of people have just ran through the taser which they also need to take into consideration for the sake of the cops lives
@maxterjf Жыл бұрын
He had a lethal weapon and charged officer with it. Non lethal is not always working and the 2 electrodes need to connect to work. Non lethal is good when there is no chance for an officer to be injured or killed in action. Anyway, the guy charged with his knife so had intention to injure/kill. If it was you you'd protect yourself like anybody else with the more efficient way possible. They had time to hit a leg maybe... would be less lethal. Maybe 5 shot were excessive. But in the action they still protected themselves.
