The mannerisms of the convicted felon is appalling, and expected. 6 life sentences and 700+ years of prison he is acting as though he is equal to his new friends of the court room. I've seen him in the other court cases hearings. Wheelchair and restrained FULLY. He acted as though he was a prince. Laughing and joking with the court officers. His attorneys for those cases are two extremely tall and tall and built fit African American men. He was offered plea deal for both, refused. Restitution hearing, dude looked like a blow fish or something. BALD, clean shaven and glasses. His nose is huge!

He's such a manipulative fraud. He's very respectful and not interruptive when he wants the judge to extend his sentencing date, which, by the way, is his attempt to delay the inevitable. But when she refuses, he returns to his belligerent, disrespectful ways in questioning the deputy and admonishing the judge for supposedly practicing law from the bench. It's hilarious he was publicly proven to be the usual liar in regard to his shock devices. Also, it's funny only 3 people, not the projected 20, spoke at his sentencing hearing. And 2 of those individuals were family. Disgusting excuse for a human being.

@@migbham1 Agree. To know he felt some pain while continuing to cause more pain in the aftermath of his reckless actions that injured & murdered many while he continued without an ounce of remorse shows intent. So the desire to give him any amount of mental or physical pain isn't unheard of.....we are human yet we aren't recklessly speaking (govt tactics, like waterboarding, shock treatment, etc but not taking his life).....he can argue unfortunately many can't argue back or face their perpetrator. Lastly, I could give 2 💩💩 about how & when his sentencing in this case occurs or if it messes without the outcome of other cases. Hope I made sense....I just can't believe (actually I do, reasons are obvious) he hasn't once apologized and consistently made it about him & his trauma (his heart is the most broken). @@BrandyD1777 You are making sense, absolutely. He's a textbook narcissist and a sociopath. He's shown clearly that he has zero ability to begin to guess what a "normal" person might be feeling or thinking in a given situation. To stand before that jury and express zero remorse for anything other than how profoundly his life has been impacted, to declare flatly that he has no regret and is at peace, and to cry about his daughter, who is still very much alive tells me this. To have watched how quickly his rage and contempt can be switched off for feigned remorse, respect and gratitude for a jury is just frighteningly familiar to me, as someone who was raised in the very crucible of malignant narcissism. That's the thing with narcissists and especially sociopaths, though. They have the ability to pretend as though they are feeling remorse when it suits their purpose, but it's like listening to someone try to sing who knows the words but not the music. It's just not believable. Go back and watch his opening and closing statements. When you or I get upset or emotional, it just happens. If we are in public, we likely try to conceal that it's happening. But not Woods and others like him. They betray that even they, themselves, don't fully believe the act that they are about to put on by announcing (usually by way of an apology) that they're becoming emotional. It's so predictable that it would be funny, were it not for all the accompanying tragedy and loss.

@@daisyh2887 Great question. I found the interview with Brooks' mum to be really interesting. She seems to feel that his mental illness (whatever that is) is going untreated, that he's not taking/being given his meds. She doesn't say that it's not his fault, only that he 'isn't aware of what's happening' when he's in these 'manic phases', and needs treatment and isn't getting it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don't know; it's not even close to an answer, but it's all I've heard yet.

The reason any restraints were covered up is actually for a defendant's benefit. Wearing restraints during a court proceeding has been determined to be prejudicial to the defendant. Apologies if someone already mentioned this. When the jury is looking at a person in handcuffs, chains, mobility restraints, etc there is a constant reminder of that person being detained by the State. It paints them as a criminal; they are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, there are legitimate security concerns, particularly when a defendant is accused of dangerous/violent crimes and is facing a significant sentence.
