To anyone who doesn’t want to watch this whole thing… he basically rambled Christianity in a very pious fashion. talked about his hard life, poor upbringing, and his mental illness. He made statements about each member of his family like he was accepting an award. He wanted to turn and face the victims in the courtroom and explain why he was wearing a medical mask during the trial and the judge advised him not to. He firmly stated that it was not an intentional attack. This was NOT! NOT! NOT! an attack!” He alluded to remorse but only spend about 10 seconds in the 2 hours to say "I am sorry for what happened". He did not take responsibility. He did however, directly apologize to the judge for his behavior during the trial. He talked about his anger at the prosecution team for how they characterized him during the trial. He also talked a lot about forgiveness and quoted the Bible regarding forgiveness. After 2 HOURS the judge intervened when he started complimenting her work as a judge in the trial and she asked him to just make a recommendation for his sentence. He did not make a recommendation but he requested to be treated for his mental illness. He did not give a reason for the attack, he did not apologize, and did not directly express remorse to the victims or take responsibility. He only talked about himself for 2 hours. Finally the judge made him wrap it up. *EDIT:: "I am sorry for what happened" is NOT an apology..."I am sorry for WHAT I DID" would have been an apology. To apologize, you must take responsibility. He did not*

I never believed in a word that Darrell brooks says because obviously he is a liar he will never own up to the truth he has zero integrity zero credibility zero remorse for his disorderly conduct of court proceedings he has no respect no equal right to question any of the witnesses he has zero respect for the law of the court of decorum he has shown no respect to the attorney’s he has shown the court the narcissistic criminal that Darrell brooks he may believe in god but that alone shouldn’t be irrelevant to the court because Darrell brooks will have to pay for what he has done and this will go down in history for along time he may become remorseful about what he’s done but only god knows the truth of the situation he cause Waukesha will never go unpunished for his crimes his lies and his actions he has manipulated everything in side of the court because he hasn’t shown or fabricated the situation of Waukesha because every single person has the right to testify against this man who is absolutely pure evil in the eyes of the law I don’t acknowledge his crimes or his guilt because he is the type of man that deserves life without possibility of parole

I grew up just like Mr. Brooks. We were dirt poor. In fact, we were PO, we couldn’t even afford the other O or R. My daddy was a violent sadistic alcoholic and beat my poor momma nearly everyday for 23 years. She finally was able to get us away from him. She had seven children by that time. We lived far below the poverty line. We lived in homes infested with cockroaches and rats as big as cats. I also grew up in a Christian home. But none of my momma’s children ever k!lled anyone. My youngest brother did turn to a life of drugs and crime. But he paid for that with his life. His life, not anyone else’s. He was shot and k!lled at the age of 21. He would be 64 years old if he had lived. But he chose that life. He was raised by the same momma as the rest of us. None of the remaining 6 turned to drugs or crime. So it’s a choice Mr Brooks. I think my momma did a pretty good job raising us. She kept us in school and in church. Which is probably why 6 out of 7 of her children turned out to be hardworking upstanding citizens. She’s at rest now with her Heavenly Father. Thanks momma.

Agreed. Erika's daughter had never met Dawn Woods. The old lady refused to let the girl visit. The older Xavier had been picked up for issues related to his emotional state. I have the utmost respect for Sue Opper. She stared this monster down through the entire trial, and even during this ridiculous rant where he questioned her integrity, character, and even intelligence, and continued to stare into his face with unwavering dignity, strength, class, professionalism, and decorum. He claimed he didn't flinch, but I never saw her flinch ONCE. She stared right through this monster into his black, putrid soul and put him away for the rest of his pointless life. He can say anything he wants, but the fact that she utterly destroyed him every step of the way is something that will eat away at his tiny mind every day until he rots. She is a true hero and took down a cowardly monster.

He could have spent his entire opening argument talking solely about nullification and it wouldn’t have mattered! Who in their right mind is going to look at the law and say “you know I used to think that intentional homicide was wrong but now I feel like it shouldn’t against the law, there is nothing wrong with intentional homicide. That was never going to happen which is why it was so ridiculous that they spent so much time arguing about the issue! I don’t know why he ever thought that would work!

To verify that statement the Holy Spirit will bare witness in the day of judgement because man is incapable of telling the truth even before God. Among all the niceties we took for granted. I answered her; "Of Course, my Dad is a Man." It needn't be said. This Man woke up, shaved, got dressed, went to work, came home, showered, drank a beer, watched TV after Dinner & went to bed, so he could do it all over again tomorrow. Yup!! That's a Man!! Mom, went on to mention my bike, my guitar, my stereo & some of my other worldly possessions. Soon it became clear, My dad had no "toys"!! Dad had a Recliner. Oh, I think he said a LOT. It went like this: "I'm special because I've decided to pretend to have dedicated my life to Kryse (whoever that is), so I now get to judge everyone else. My conscience is clear because I carried a Bible around throughout the trial. I'm special because I have a pretend mental illness and I now get to judge everyone else with a mental illness, including my victims and their families. I'm an arrogant, sociopathic, empathy free monster, who deserves to live out his remaining years in a comfy, cozy, psychiatric hospital, because nothing I've ever done was my fault. Erika is at fault for all of this. If it's not her fault, it's the victims' faults because they should've gotten out of my way. I honked, after all. My life matters more than my victims because I'm special. I've been victimized my whole life because no one understood how special I was except my filthy mama, who's cleaned up after me and excused my bad actions since I was a baby, so I never suffered consequences or learned accountability. No one understands me, everybody picks on me, and they fail to see that I'm so special I'm privy to super secret squirrel legal knowledge that even judges and attorneys don't know. I'm not sorry for what I did but I am sorry for what happened. Nothing is my fault, though, and I'm better than you and everyone else. I'm not very old, age-wise, even though I am 40 and have 4 children and a grandchild. I've 'dropped' tears in jail so I'm absolved of everything I did, and after all, it was God's will. I don't deserve to be punished, and I'm no longer the pretend, poser, wannabe' gangsta' loser that I imitated for years because it suits my purpose to purport to be a man of Kryse. Poor me, I deserve better than this, and I'm exceedingly magnanimous because I deigned to give the victims the right to feel how they want to feel, and the unmitigated gall to try to turn around and face them to tell them how they're stupid for realizing I wore a mask to hide my smirks, smiles and ridiculous attempts at intimidating looks during the entire trial. I'm so special and amazing that I can speak about nothing but myself for two hours and show zero regret or remorse for killing six people and injuring 62 others, and everyone should listen to me lecture them because I'm better than them and l Oh yeah, I didn't want anyone to recognize me from the photos so I stuffed wads of tissue into my mask to change the shape of my face. Oh, and I am a prince among men because I don't hold any ill will towards the families of the people I murdered. I'm more important, smarter, more Kryse like, and have hubris in such abundance that it is shocking, but it can be rivaled by the levels of my predatory narcissism and monumental entitlement. I was not axed to be born this way, but I'm damned glad I was, because I am freaking amazingly awesome." That about sums it up, I think lol.
