Excellent press conference. This lawyer is passionate about his job and the pursuit of the truth. He is right, Moriarty needs to resign. If she does not, she needs to be suspended, investigated, and ultimately fired, to then possibly face charges. We should all be tired of and sickened by all the corruption.

This is typical of police and prosecutors. Criminal lawyers like this take offense at government overreach. I guarantee if his client was one of those 3 DUIs a night this officer he's defending gets, he'd be trashing the officer and pointing out how numbers like those are typically indicative of a lying officer because they are. Talk about special treatment. And you know when this happened?? When they forced the suburbs to take on & attempt to integrate the black folks … a total failure. An Elmhurst cop knocked on my door and chastised me leaving my car on in the street while bringing in groceries … he 👮♂️ said that we can’t do that anymore, too many car thefts, and then they old me that we now need to lock our doors at night & when we leave the house due to burglaries.

Mimms and Maryland v. Wilson, you'll find an officer is allowed to take these actions for officer safety and to prevent the possible destruction of evidence. I know this is 'off topic', but they definitely shouldn't be giving out awards for the number of arrests a deputy makes. Arresting people is NOT A GAME. Especially DUI arrests (very subjective - unless they take a blood, breath, or urine test). Giving it awards gives police a reason to arrest people they normally wouldn't have. It is totally crazy.

Plus, theres absolutely NO DOUBT his client did his job in which his own record proves he's almost over qualified for. DwI/Dui awards for troopers. Sounds like gets as much as possible nd collect that money no matter what. Don't get me wrong if they're all legit 100% nd constitutional yes. But alot of times people are arrested nd lose everything because of false DUI/DWI reports. Many different states nd its troopers have been guilty of being false in there reports. I would like to see all the body cam videos of this troopers encounters with the people he pulled over. If all legit fantastic he did his job correctly & constitutionally. If not then there's a problem. Im not saying the driver is a good guy or in the right and i believe if you commit a crime you should be arrested....Its just you need the facts from both sides and all the true information before a decision

The first trooper should NEVER have entered the vehicle while it was moving. This is VERY bad tactics. There is a very low rate of success. These incidents always end horribly. I disagree with awards for arrests rather than convictions. There are more than a few erroneous arrests. Convictions are commendable. Arrests may reward sloppy police actions. Having said that, it is clear in this case that the DA's office is usually just interested in convicting the most convenient subject rather than pursuing actual justice. Remember, Minnesota (where I grew up) is all Democrats all the time.

make it a law in sll states that LEO must give their name, badge number, and reason for contact/stop BEFORE they request ID. did all of the dwi citations result in positive blood tests and convictions or were they for the amount of tickets he wrote with or without cerification?
