Great video Ido. I've had some marvellous A22 experiences through Sheldon Jones' Merit Aviation at Moruya NSW. A fantastic aircraft.

The out-of-cockpit visibility on A32 is just phenomenal...

Surprised Jeremy went for the Vixen rather than the Kelpie. Given the Kelpie has rough strip tyres, , superior climb, mud flaps and leading edge protection plus better storage, it is an interesting decision he made. 🤔

Hi Gaz, Many of the farmers operating on large properties selected the A32 due to its extra speeds. I belive Jeremy uses the aircraft for cummuting as well as farm work. As long as they don't operate out of very rough strips the A32 will do nicely thanks to the 50-70m takeoff and landing run. However, we do agree that the Kelpie/A22LS sits much higher and will be best suited for a station work

Hey GazLowe - in fact the Vixxen has a better rate of climb, slower stall speed and equal storage weight & capacity (which is kept lower down in the fuselage). Also cruises 20+ knots faster. Prop has the same brass blade protection and tailplane LE protection can be added if needed. Only thing(s) not currently approved are big tyres and mudflaps - but then again, these would knock 9-10 knots off the cruise speed....

I always believed when you fly an airplane ( sport, light or otherwise ) , the pilot must hold the stick at all times. In this video the pilot is flying for minutes without touching or correcting the stick. Does it have to do all with the weather ?

This plane has autopilot. You don't need to touch the stick when it's engaged. This is a very nice to have feature in such long trip like this one.

Hi Michelle - my colleague who featured in the video preferred AvPlan. Personally I like OzRunways. Take your pick!

Hang on what's this - 5100 rpm and 95 knots ?? at 6:26 ... I thought this was a 110 knot plane at that rpm ???
@andrewmorris34796 жыл бұрын
brainmaker Remeber that’s indicated airspeed at 7,500ft. True airspeed is 112 knots.

@@53glowe See Andrew reply below, at 7,500 in a naturally aspirated engine, the engine only produces about 50-55% power, which thanks to a light and clean airframe still yields great speeds. see all our video "Aeroprakt A32 SkyView Speed" for more kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnmrkoVnralpptk
