I care very little what someone else does to their car. It's their car and them putting stuff on it I don't like is not harmful to me. It may not be my cup of tea but at least they are doing something with their car. Example: I saw a Fox done in what I would call a tuner/drifter/euro vibe. Dude did everything himself. Wasn't something I liked or would do but I had to appreciate the work the guy did to it. All I could do was give him compliments for doing what he wanted with it and doing it all himself. I say do what you want to your car. Make it the way you want. To hell with what others say. Only time I care is if they are trying to pass it off as something it's not. Especially if they are selling it to someone.

I know this is not a forum but I have been watching this channel through my TV for about 8 months now, just thought I'd give a warning. I am currently recovering from some disabilities I incurred years ago, so finances were tight, but I found a couple of fox bodys that needed work, that had been sitting for a long time, and thought I would ask the guy if he wanted to sell one. He told me he'd sell both for $500.00, he had the title to one but couldn't find the other. Told me to just get a bonded title which I did. Told me the 83 ( bonded title) would be the easiest to fix up. So a little bit each month i would get things for it. After putting close to 1000.00 into it he towed it to an undisclosed location saying I didn't pay him enough for it and he had the title. Seems it's a common problem. Now I have wasted time and money and have only the parts car one that he gave me the title to. Be careful out there when buying these old cars.

My father just gave my son a 87’ GT convertible. Black with maroon interior. Car is in great shape. Belonged to my brother in law, kept in a garage and doesn’t have a single door ding. I look forward to building it with my son. My dad and I built a 65’ as my first car. The time and experience means the world to me now that my dad is gone. Hopefully my son will feel the same way in the future. Thanks for the vids! Keep it up.

Come on back in the day a 5" monster tack was a must, and im still a fan, lol.. im oldskool, 15-16 inch rims are all that should be under a fox, and back in the day we took floor mats out of the cars, and if your a true foxbody guy, you only put true amber 1986 gt tails on your fox,, ( my opinion only) but cowl hoods are the only hoods that look good on a fox,,

My monster tack was installed on a home made bracket made from a stainless trim piece from the submarine I was stationed on no holes drilled at all. Pulled off the dash pad near the vents above the radio and bent it up so that it bolts up to existing stuff. I avoid drilling stuff at all possible cost.

Hey BREW2L I just finished building my first fox I have an 306 with 030 DSS pistons b303 cam trick-flow tw 170cc heads plasma piston rings full 3in Mac 1 chambers exhaust 24lb injectors it’s been converted to maf using a 93 cobra ecu with stock 5.0 intake manifold how much power will i be putting down and a buddy told me that switching to a carb will make more power and that I would need a tune to make any power with stock efi stuff by the way man great channel you always have great content 👍

I'd rather use a light strip rather than a monster tach. Indicate when I start redlining and Flash right before the limiter. There's some you can't even notice until the lights flick on. Or reflect off your windshield.

So I just bought a 79 mustang pace car #770 built in 4/79, it has 19k original miles on it and has documentation for everything done to it by Shelly Ford in PA. It was painted, wheels changed lovers installed engine modified, C4 trans modified, rear end modified. I have pics if interested, I want to know what you think should I leave it the black with the orange stripe it has from 79 or should I get it turned back to factory pace car status.

86 fox with 93 front clip, one piece headlights, 20 inch cobra replicas, autozone wing on the back, metallic lime green, badges everywhere. That's the worst thing I ever seen. And the owner would always back it in at an angle at the apartments I used to live in.

Another "bad mod" in 2019 is FMUs on forced induction cars(usually superchargers, they come with Vortech kits). Vortech blowers are great, but there's no reason to use a FMU to change fuel pressure on the fly when you can just run big injectors, a big fuel pump and a standalone ECU or custom tune. Doing it this way also gives much more consistent AFRs. More power, less detonation. FMUs belong in the 90s before this was easily possible and we were stuck with small injectors and stock ECUs.

For the record, if you switch to 4.5 x 5, there are several factory ford wheels in 18" to 20" that used 255/50 series tires that would look very nice on a fox body IMO.

This is completely opinion based obviously - but its interesting to see the variety of tastes from everyone nonetheless...shit that REALLY grinds my gears: 1.) Exhaust tips cut through the middle of rear GT bumper ground effect (10 points for quad tips) 2.) 1 piece headlights (10 points for tint) 3.) Euro tail lights (same 10 point bonus for tintz) 4.) Black plastidipped turbines 5.) Rear spoiler removed And no offense to anyone with these no-no's (I kid I kid)! To each his own! Hey, thanks for the videos...quick off the subject question that is troubling me before I slightly lower my 1988 and upgrade from the stock wheels/tires...If I go bigger on wheels/tires....do I need to get 91-93 fenders to account for a bigger tire size???....any help from anyone would be really cool....while you are at it...could you add what tires/rims you did as well....and if the brakes (cobra or regular) had any affect on your wheel decisions....Thanks for all you guys do.

i have a set of smoked euro tail light's, but in my defense i searched and searched for Lx tail light's for a year and as soon as i'd find some in good condition or just lense's in good condition they'd get bought before i could buy them from the seller and at the time i was waiting tables in a cheap skate town making pennys and couldn't afford a new set of ford tail lights for it. I do plan on replacing them soon lol.

Just got a pretty clean 1991 emerald green and silver GT and it has the monster tach in the dash and cut bumper with big tips thankful they offer the oem style rear bumper with the mustang logo now if we could just get the 1/4 glass with the mustang logo in them

I'm not a foxbody fan (I'm an S197 and S550 guy), but I think they should be left original or restored to their original condition. I will say though that there's no finer sound than Flowmasters on a 302-powered foxbody.

Just an alternative viewpoint. If you bought the car with your own money.....you can do whatever you want to it and unless it’s your car....don’t worry about anyone else’s choices. Having said that....if you do make some of these choices just accept you’re killing any resale value you may have had.

Funny thing, you mention the wheels, that is the one thing that has to be frowned upon in video games such as Horizon 4....swapping rims/tires...no matter if it it's Mustang Fox, for that matter any other car in the game, I may play with how wide the tires are...but that is it aside from compound (ie. racing tires, sport, rally)
