Got this installed yesterday with a kicker 800w amp and a kicker 10" comp R in this box. Doors are off and it pounds. Putting the doors back on later today to see how dumb this can get while still breaking it in.

You know it beats hard! Doors on window up is viscous bass !!! I absolutely love the design and sound of the box. My fav mod. Congratulations on the new install, I know it sounds great. Kickers and me go way back, fantastic products

Pretty cool. I bought a 2022 gladiator 3 nights ago and I'm all about deep bass. I've ran sundown and skar audio and was concerned seeing this design that the gladiator is built on how I could stuff a ported box under the seat without having to run 6.5s

It really is a great budget build setup. A few guys in my JT club have made the move after hearing it. Very deceptive, it's built and designed well. I didn't have a lot of experience so you may find even better speaker to put in. Of all my mods, this is my fav

i have different set up on my gladiator 4-8 BRP subs sounds super bad ,this one is only one and sounds amazing and more bass and clean thanks very happy. hardly recommended

I have a Rockford Fosgate Line Out Converter (LOC) It splices into any factory speaker wire - give you the remote turn on and the RCA output for the amp 👍🏼 I had help to install mine to be safe

@@TXJeepDad did the line out converter need to be powered? Was there a separate blue remote wire or did the rca just serve as the remote?

Not powered, spliced into speaker wire. It's a little box. It has the RCA and blue remote wire coming out to amp. I ran amp power from battery to amp. Ground is closer to the amp.

Can you please preferably make a video showing how you did the line out converter wired in. I dont know how to wire that in to the side panel or which wires to tap in to. I have a 4 channel amp for now for my speakers like you changed out, adding a sub soon though. Thanks!

All you need to do is locate the any speaker wire and you just tap into it. The soundbar speaker wires run thru that pillar so most people just tap into the wires there. I'll see if I can find a video on the speaker wire colors and location we used.

Normally if you take out the factory radio you will get a big jump in sound... Aftermarket stereos are always better than factory head units in most vehicles...

Yes it does sit on top of the box. No issues so far but I have the cloth interior

Thanks, there is enough room for mine to flex. If you run a less deep sub than me you don't need a spacer and that will give you additional flex room. My shit is loud w gain half way

It's a Reaper Off-Road S1 Stubby Bumper. Made in America, comes w a winch plate, bull bar is removable, accepts OEM halogen or LED fogs. Solid,zero complaints 👍🏼

Did you have to use a shallow sub, or was that a regular sub in the box? Which subwoofer is that? Model#'s please.

On the fox acoustics website for the gladiator box they had subs they recommended, all of which were on the shallow side. I used the biggest one that would fit w a spacer ring, sundown ev.4 10 (10 in dual voice coil 4 ohm, wired to 2 ohm 500 watt RMS I believe)

Curious if you did anything to permanently mount it into the factory holes for the storage tray? If not, do you have any issues with it moving around on you, especially with doors off? Any security issues when the doors are off?

I haven't secured it to the jeep floor, although I have thought about it. Mine doesn't move at all with seats up or down. Sometimes when the doors are off I may cover a towel for prying eyes etc but generally no one sees it w seats down

Bro you are right! Rp-800 800w RMS Sorry for the confusion. I guess the 800w at 1 ohm threw me off. I'm running the 2 channel sub at 2 ohms 600w I believe.
