Laffer curve. Picture a bell shape curve sideways that looks like a boob. Increase revenue as you decrease taxes. Follow the slope of the boob. Down the boob, down taxes. Up the boob increase in revenue. I met Art Laffer at USC! Regan used this plus accelerated depreciation on new equipment.

The U.S. economy remains strongest in the world. It contributed 26.7% to the global GDP and has continued to thrive in face of rapidly rising interest rates until September 2024 as measured by GDP growth, labor market and stock market. It’s inflation that really hurt an average American consumer. So I am not sure what regulations will increase the economic growth.

Tariffs don't cause inflation. Deficit spending by the government causes inflation. Grow the economy, >3% annual increase in GDP. How to do a budget: wipe the spending board clean; I mean EVERYTHING, both mandatory and discretionary. Start with securing the federal budget to the GDP: • Permanent debt ceiling: 75% of GDP • Limit total annual outlays: 17% of GDP • Cut $3.6T in waste from current GFY24 budget (reduce or eliminate bloated agencies and departments) Then, starting from zero • Add/delete programs up to the above limits If you want more/bigger programs, increase the GDP. Absolutely no increases until GDP increases. ▶Permanent debt ceiling [75% of GDP] requires Congress to limit scope of nanny state and focus on the health of the country. If you want more programs, then grow the GDP. ▶Limiting total annual outlays [17% of GDP] results in a balance budget since annual revenues are about 17% of GDP. • Restore national petroleum reserves. • Restore money "borrowed" from SSA fund. • Pay down national debt. • Reciprocity tariffs • Tax cuts (revenue decrease) need to pay for themselves; otherwise, no cut. A President can propose a lot of plans but the House and Senate control the money.
