The best thing about these sorts of swimming clothes, in my opinion, is that they have sporty styles made for water sports because they are suitable for ANY sort of exercise and EXTREMELY useful, ESPECIALLY when packing as little clothes as possible for vacation... But if you can´t afford covering swimming clothes then know that it goes the ther way around aswell! You can use old sport clothes in quick-drying materials for swimming, they are actually WAY more fitted for that than an old cotton T-shirt! The ONLY difference between swimming clothes material and sport clothes material is actually that clothes made for swimming or other water sports are made more chlorine resistant! (But what does it matter if you´re going for some beach and not a pool?!) There are many sport clothes that are just as thin and quick-drying as swimming clothes. So that´s the budget version of covering swimming clothes. I remember that unisex puma sport shorts used to be VERY popular with many girls some decade back, because they were PERFECT for using as swimming shorts aswell! Not all girls like the fact that most swimming shorts made for girls are much shorter than the regular swimming shorts made for guys. For different reasons. Doesen´t have to be religious. And BTW.. if you think it´s ok to be irritated on girls covering up as much or more of their bodies than the guys do.. then you should realize that your attitude makes it ok to be irritated on girls covering up less of their bodies than the guys do aswell! I´m just saying stop HATING on girls who cover up more of their bodies on the beach... It´s no more ok than hating on the opposite if you didn´t realize that it´s the SAME attitude -that just opens for more hate and irritation!

*These sorts of modest swimming clothes companies (there are quite a few I´ve discovered online) usually have a range of sporty styles ASWELL as casual or dressy styles of covering swimming clothes... and becuse I prefer natural fibre in my clothes except from sports and the beach, then multifunction swimming/watersport/all kinds of sport clothes would be my no 1 choise !

Like a comfortable one piece meant for water sports? With board shorts and a sun shirt if you want more modestly(they take up less space total than this probably does. I highly doubt that a pencil skirt, leggings and a long, tight looking sleeves will allow more movement than surf clothes(things similar to what I listed, doesn't have to mean a wet suit)

I don't feel like these outfits are at all practical for swimming. I'm sure they're great until you get into the water and your whole "outfit" becomes sopping wet and cold. That would be so uncomfortable. I can't imagine wearing this to the pool, beach or even water sports. How is a knee length skirt practical for water sports? Lol! Nice idea I guess but this wouldn't work for me personally. I think wearing a tankini top and board shorts is much more comfortable. If anything get a swim skirt, a one piece suit and use a rash guard over it.

My best way to wear modest swimwear (I'm christian) is a normal bathing suit then buy a modest swimskirt...I'm afraid of water getting in there too, its why a t shirt does not work either...

way way too much. This will draw attention to yourself more than if you are wearing a swimsuit. Remember if you want to be modest and unobtrusive in what you wear, Wear something that would not be a distraction to othets. looks very uncomfortable. A swimsuit is fine with a skirt or dress cover-up after swimming.

That three-piece seems downright dangerous for any water you can't stand up in. It's a lot of cloth to weigh you down, and how much modesty can you have in a skirt in the water if you're swimming? How *can* you safely *and* modestly swim in a skirt? Modest swimwear is a good idea, but the implementation doesn't seem to quite be there.

BC Brandt, Keep in mind the material that this clothing is made out of is the same type of material that they make swimsuits out of. Do swimsuits wear you down, no of course not! So when someone is in the water they could safely swim or participate in water sports, because it is actually not weighing you down and still be modest because you're not showing parts that you shouldn't be showing to the whole world, because it's covered up. We tell children that their bathing suit areas are private property, (and they are,) but we fail to tell them that the area around their bathing suits is also private property! but yet at beaches and the swimming pool all of those "modesty" rules go out the window because technically anyone wearing a bathing suit is half naked! and it's still not appropriate to be wearing a traditional bathing suit otherwise we would be doing everything in the bathing suit, going to the store, going to work, going to schoo, etc. all in a bathing suit, so bathing suits are not really modest at all, - which is why modest bathing suits were created! Perverts love the beach and swimming pools because they could get a free show; it is downright sick and disgusting; yes, however, they still do it and a lot of times we don't even know it, because being in a "traditional" bathing suit is somehow acceptable at beaches and swimming pools; which is technically saying :it's only okay to be half naked at a swimming pool or beach, because everybody else is half naked as well," however nobody really knows who the freaks are at beaches and swimming pools and there is a lot of them there! just like the freaky perverts that go to strip clubs, they pay their admission and they buy their two drink minimum, so that they could stay in the club but they don't tip any of the women- because really why would they? They're already seeing them half-naked for free, now granted, if they do tip the strippers, they get to see MORE of their body, ( but the strippers are already walking around with a thong bikini and bikini top) but when the stripper is on stage or dancing to the guy next to them, perverts can already see their whole body without tipping them! Someone in a modest swimsuit or modest clothing, is NOT feeding into the perversion, thus, still enjoying the water and life.

I get mine from a company called ModLi (NOT similarly name Modlily) and they are nearly identical to these styles and on sale in the wintertime a full swimset is the same price as a decent quality one piece traditional swimsuit; around $80 - $100

Yeah but some women don't want to be completely covered. I usually wear a bikini but I feel so naked with it and hate it when a man looks at me even if everyone else also is in bikini. I like one pieces and bikinis, -but- butt, I don't like having a permanent wedgie, no thanks. It has nothing to do with modesty, just comfort. I do struggle a bit finding bikkini tops due to having no boobs, but eh Target exists. And I honestly love one pieces for more movement and comfort,(I used to do competitive swimming, and you just have to find comfortable practice suits, like Dolphin) My parents don't care too much about modesty either(as long as it doesn't have a tiny triangle top and a thong like bottom.), they were swimmers too. These suits are incredibly stupid...

maddie broussard you are wrong. but then again you're young. I'm 34 and I prefer modesty to showing so much skin. I have never worn a bikini and I never will because I refuse to show the world my body. Only my man can see my body that way. Besides that when I was 12 I was more developed than the other girls around me. I was more aware because my mom explained it to me. She also didn't want me to be like she was when she was younger and despite not understanding at the time why she was teaching me how to be modest I went along with it. I understand now and have thanked her.

@@mandiwilson83 i am 31 and i wear one from modli, i also would only let my husband see all that. we've been married a long time. i look way younger, i weigh 110 and i love my body, i went through a bad phase where i wore a bikini and a one piece. i love wearing a modest swimsuit. i will never go back to even a one piece. i'm not saying everyone has to be like me, i'm just sharing how i feel. cheeky bikini or bikini in general is not enough clothing for anyone in public.

What is this? The 1800's. It is just skin! If you're wearing all these clothes they get wet, they take so long to dry, then there's those expensive price tags. Seriously, just get over yourselves. If you wanted to (really) you could go to the active wear section and get a shirt with shirts to wear or put shorts on your one piece or simply work on yourself and your insecurities, wear sunscreen and have fun!
