How many JDs do you own ? We have 11 . The "repair" BS is just that ... BS . One can repair any tractor they desire ... Just that if you made modifications to the electronic module of a 6r110 to pull like a 6r140 ... Then your warranty is nulled and if the unit gets to return to a JD dealer it will be set back to ORIGINAL status of 110hp . I own a 6r110 and a 6r130 ...almost the same machine BUT ... The fuel electronic module is set differently and torque curves are not remotely the same ... Price tag difference : 30K . If I were to seek a fly by night geek to "tweek" my 6r110 to 130 specs ... It would cost me about 1K $ ... Do you understand now ? People who claim JD is against farmers repairing their units ... are lying . They are people that did NOT pay for what they claim to have . Electronic modules and settings are PART of the sale also . You could simply have bought a 6r130 if you desired 143 hp instead of 110 . Questions ... I can help ... @@niniv2706 So what you're saying is all those people that complain about it are full of it? All of them, they just don't understand. You have 11 pieces, you're one of the bigger customers, let me also guess you buy them new from the dealer, you know people there for a long time etc. Now be the guy that buys them used, has 2, and always gets outside repairs done, or does it himself. That person is treated in a "we'll get to you when we get to you", while they rush out to service your stuff. If you read fine print on your purchase agreement you own the hardware, you are LEASING the software, the stuff that runs around in the ECU, you don't own it, JD can brick it any moment (just like they did in Ukraine when Russians took tractors). As it stands today, no one is allowed to have a computer scanner, (except JD service personnel) That means, if the engine throws a code, it can shut down the machine or put it in limp mode, no one but JD service has the computer to hook up to it and find out what's up. Why? They say because people will use it to bypass emissions devices....... that's being done no matter, they know it, all code is breakable, they know it, it's just an excuse. (Very few people care to bump up HP on so expensive equipment, (that's what the dealer told you isn't it? lol) and on warranty on top of it, and today, there is plenty of power in everything. Official stand from JD is the emissions thing, in front of congress anyways). Also, it's not just for shenanigans or major stuff. My truck (Cummins) threw a code and derated my truck, would not say why (plenty of display to say it) turned out coolant cap was loose, it could not have said that cooling system press is low, nah, STOP RIGHT THERE AND CALL SERVICE!! because a fricken coolant cap is loose. Also not a big deal unless you're overheating, at the same time. Why derate, why not let know which sensor is tripping? MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY And this is much more wide spread then just JD, look up Louis Rossman (on you tube) for things your dealer will not tell you. But no worries, capitalist market fixes itself, there is at least one European tractor company that started setting up in US, full repair rights, fix it however you want to, computer and all. Very nice tractors, absolutely no worse then JD, but I don't know enough about them, I just drive them on and off my trailer.

I'm surprised more business have not moved overseas. In addition, the rules and regulations our government imposes on businesses are starting to make it impossible to operate in the US and be competitive. I remember when GM built the Lordstown assembly plant in Ohio, I lived with employees at that plant and the stores they told me about the crap they did and got away with made me cringe. For years I said GM will close that plant due to the Union and the belief of the workers that they were entitled to high pay and doing little work. Every union man I have know is always pissed at his employer. The unions brain wash them into thinking they are getting screwed so they strike to get more benefits and money and in return the union boss gets a healthy raise. They are doing the exact thing they speak out against!

@@benstandard Wonder how many pay to do gender swapping and the 100k? costs nd drugs? There was a coworker I worked with in 1992 with some weird blood problem and the drugs were 3000 a month and the SoCal company paid most all of it. So he was making about 42k as an engineering technician and the money pills were 36K so with the SS taxes and overhead his cost was like 150k; about triple the rate of our Singapore plant. So do the "Most other countries have socialized medicine" pay for giant medical costs? With my own business Obamacare caused massive insurance cost increases. And for some employees that meant the cost of the insurance was more than their wages.

They don't make products like that anymore. They can't get you to buy new equipment after 40 years in the field. So now they build junk. Junk gets replaced a lot more often for some reason. LOL

@Fantom64006 ай бұрын
Actually, Mexico is the victim here because they’re only getting the scraps of what was once a major competitive brand. American CEOs and employers are only looking to exploit and rip-off Mexican workers with low paying wages for long hours and hard work. Most Mexican workers won’t even complain about it because they need the little money they could possibly earn. You can bet for sure that the product will still make profit, the CEOs will still make profit, the workers don’t.
