I think Lauren Almeida is the five children's de facto mother. She is living with them in their grandmothers apartment and has done so for the past five years and started nannying the children when the oldest twins were only 6 years old. She nannied 6 days a week and went on vacations with the family. Lauren is a godsend and should be recognised as such and as their adoptive mother. Jennifer's old friends have done an exceptional job nurturing and supporting Jennifer's children but they should know their place and step aside and let Lauren be the adaptive mother she clearly wants to be for the children who loves her dearly. These children have been brought up in a state of emergency since their parents death so for the sake of normality and stability please step aside and let Lauren do her job.

I did two nanny jobs.. And always said I loved it, she put into words what I felt but never expressed, that it is a intimate experience to be trusted so much. I was asked by one family to please forge my boss name on the checkbook, yes this was back then, and go grocery shopping to. I said no at first because it is illegal and I was afraid of maybe being framed. But for four years we did that. I never once got asked for an ID. Signed it "Jan" Lol, anyways.. And to be honest, it was the best time of my life in many ways. I had a young son myself and he was with me. Those were the best days of my life... Oh Yah back in the summer of 69' just kidding. I miss the children I used to care for..have cried I miss them so much in my older years. Didn t see this coming.. I hate evil men that cut beautiful women's lives short because they are so little themselves.

I don't know if people truly understand what this girl went through, the tremendous sacrifices she made and it probably didn't feel like a choice, how could it when you're looking at these 5 little faces that you love so much? She did more than put her life on hold, she lost her youth, most or all of her social life and probably dealing with constant depression and other effects of emotional trauma. It's unlikely she will be able to have a family of her own unless all the stars align....I'm sure she doesn't regret it b/c she loves those children but there is just so much loss and hardship, it's both heartbreaking and infuriating.
