FOXFIELD RAILWAY SUMMER STEAM GALA 17th JULY 2016

What makes more noise than a Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 on a 1 in 19 bank? Answer - Two Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0's on the same bank. Such was the case on the Sunday of Foxfield's Summer Gala. Following the dismal Saturday the Sunday was sunny and warm. We were treated to a number of noisy climbs of Foxfield Colliery Bank by each of the locos in action that day, some trains being banked in the rear whilst others were tackled single handed. Also in service was the lovely 'Knotty' four wheel set.
Thanks to all concerned for a most enjoyable and entertaining day.
