I can completely understand what Ian is saying about going fishing, when he said the last thought on his mind was actually catching a carp, I myself was woken from my induced coma 2 weeks ago and it’s going to be a long road to recovery and till I can drive again with all the oralmorph and morphine slow release tablets I’m on. catching a carp currently is not even on my radar, I wouldn’t have the energy to play one. But the thought of just being on the bank and watching the water from my bed chair has never been more appealing than it is now. oh how I can’t wait to feel the fresh air on my face and look up to the sky and smile.

Hi Chilly, good to see you back on the bank, take it one day at a time mate and don`t worry about size and enjoy yourself, I had a stroke just two years ago i was very lucky as it partly knocked out my left hand which is my prime hand and my memory is a knackered but it could have been so much worse and like you I can still go carp fishing in a fashion, it is hard but good luck mate and as my old dad would say " Don`t let the bastards grind you down" (Les)

You are an absolute legend Chilly, what you have recovered from and how quickly you have managed to get back out on the bank (even though I personally know, felt like an age) is a testament to your love for the sport, like I said I know personally after having 3 back ops that having your life turned upside down in such a short time is something you can never be mentally prepared for and in honesty will never mentally recover from but physically you look the picture of health. I look forward to many more Vlogs from you and wish you and the wife lots of love. Dean Skimin @Robin-Baits
