Mark Pitchers and Harry are brilliant. Mark is one of my favourite anglers and he's the reason I decided to start carp fishing after a almost 15 year absence from trout and salmon fishing back in scotland. I have learned 2 things whilst carp fishing and those are always listen to advice/tips and the 2nd carp are smart as hell.

Great fun as always from you two. Always look forward to the specials. For one of the 2023 challenges, I propose the Pub Chuck Challenge. Seeing as Mark has married into Continental Europe he has taken to the Euro style of tech fishing using baitboats with GPS and moved away from traditional UK angling and many feel been cheating when fishing against Harry. Therefore Mark is not allowed any fancy tech and no leading about. He has to rely on his skill alone to decide where to pub chuck his rigs in order to meet the challenge. If Harry feels Mark is doing too well, he can decide (as the fair and reasonable adjudicator he always is) to take away an item of kit such as bite alarms etc until he is satisfied Mark is achieving the sprit of the challenge in order to catch 100lbs over a 48hr challenge preferably at a venue not fished by Mark before. Let the Pub chuck purgatory challenge begin !!

My suggestion for a challenge for Mark would be to recreate some of the legendary old school carp fishing scenes from the likes of passion for angling. For example the scarecrow scene would be great. Number and size of carp as well as number of different scenes would be open to suggestion. Also it would be great for the tackle used to be in keeping with the times.

Cracking vid as always, throughly enjoyable! Challenge idea Wrap Challenge You have to catch a fish from 1 wrap or under to start. If you catch a double you add a wrap, 20 add 2 wraps etc. Have to fish within the wraps earned until you’ve reached a set distance which Harry can choose. Looking forward to the next one whatever it is!

Great idea for next challenge Harry... Snakes and ladders! U create a board which depicts time slots for each space or spaces .. ie the first 3 spaces may add up to 4hrs (8 til 12)fishing where what Mark catches adds up towards total .. and goes up the weight ladder etc. Next time slot (say 12 til 3) is classed as a snake. If he catches during this time, the fish weight comes off! Down the ladder! U select the total weight to reach to complete challenge . Simple, catch when catches added, blank when catches are deducted and reach top. Must fish at all times.. u can choose to let mark know if hes window is add or deduct.. or give hints. And remember, u roll the dice as normal snakes n ladders, and same rules apply.

A challenge for 2023, named going in blind! For this one, all must play fair. Mark puts the name of 5 venues in a hat, and Harry put 5 methods of catching carp in a separate hat. Venues can be far and wide, big or small. Methods can be as specific as stalking or bait and wait, boillies only or free running ledger with luncheon meat, surface fishing or bottom baits only, etcetera. 3 draws of pairs, one location one method, and Harry chooses which he would enjoy the most. Mark must catch 3 fish over 20lb in what most anglers can fish in a normal week, 36 hours. One full day, one night and must be packed and loaded by dark the following day. Keep up the good work guys and all the best for 2023!

I think a 2023 challenge would be best spending 24 hours on a lake with 24 swims only 1our in each swim if mark catches a target bonus fish he gets to buy himself more than one hour in that particular swim! The benefits for mark in this challenge as he will get to show case he’s range of skills in different locations & show some sort of challenge stamina lol Love the videos guys keep them coming 🙌🙌🙌

Challenge idea. Mark has to catch 4 carp 1 under 10lb 1 between 10lb-20lb 20lb-30lb 30lb-40lb. Can be caught in any order. If 2 fish are caught of the same weight bracket then Harry gets to take 1 thing away from mark. Literally anything ranging from a rig type to marks bed chair.

My suggestion "All the yards" Mark must pick one chosen swim and one horizon marker. He must catch 5 carp,1 at each distance. 20yards 50yards 80yards 110yards 140 yards. Rules: he can move swim, however this will loose one of his 3 rods.(can go back to a previous swim without penalty) (Harry's desicion) He must fish exactly in line at that distance 3 on a spot and a different bait at each distance Can choose whether to start at 140 or 20 yards but must catch them in distance order.

Great video as usual. Suggestion for a new challenge has to be filmed or shown on 24th of July. Reason for this is it is the birthday of one of televised fishings forefathers John Wilson. Mark will have to dress, act and fish just like John did. If possible at a location that was in 'go fishing ' . Anytime he drops out of character i.e not saying 'hello we're in' or 'got some power these fish' then he has weight deducted from a target(leave this up to Harry). Definitely no bait boats.

Awesome challenge as normal guys. My suggestion would be: Harry prices up a shopping list of equipment for Mark. Essential fish care equipment like the scales and unhooking mat and sling are free as these will be needed later. 1 rod and reel with line is a set, a bite alarm with an indicator and a stick is a set (but should be calculated accordingly). A bag of bait, hooks, shrink tube etc all have individual prices. Mark has to decide what he absolutely needs and starts with that. For every carp Mark catches he gets its weight in carpy cash to spend on additional fishing gear, (this also includes brew kit by the way, cooker and kettle is a set, tea, sugar and cup are also a set) For every fish that isn’t a carp, Mark looses £10 or the weight of the fish, which ever is greater from his bank, this may include things mark has bought after his starting equipment. Mark can scrounge for bait and equipment but only from members of the public that are also on the venue. Harry gets to pick the venue but there must be carp and it should be a day ticket lake if possible. I hope that makes sense. All the best guys, I’m looking forward to seeing what you get up to in the future.

HARRYS CHALLENGE! Mark has to fish a lake of Harry’s choice. He has 4 days and 3 nights. Mark must catch either 3 30lb fish or 6 20lb fish. However. This isn’t as easy as it may sound;). Mark must use bait that Harry prepares. Aswell as this. For every fish that isn’t 14lb+ harry gets to take 1 item from mark. The only way mark can earn his gear back, is by completing a task that harry gives him. On top of all this. Just to make things that little bit harder. Between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm mark must use a method feeder on at least one of his rods. Good luck Mark!

Fantastic challenge but I feel you both can been tested with my challenge BLINDED BY THE FIGHT. it would be a mix of play your carp right and this challenge but as soon as either of you hook a carp the other should place a blind fold on the person with a fish right 5 points max for each fish landed. 2 points for closest to the correct weight 2 points for landing a fish blindfolded and 1 points if you guess higher or lower than the previous fish first one to reach the target points wins target points can be decided by the average of both of your PB UK carp

Fantastic Watch as always. The Challenge 2023. Mark should undertake a Challenge where catching his first fish is the decider where Mark then has to catch 5 more fish heavier or lighter than the first fish, the weight of the next 5 fish has to be heavier or lighter each time he catches depending on what side of the weight Mark decides to go, for an example if his first fish is 25LBs and Mark decides to go lighter, his next 5 fish must be 22lbs , 20lbs , 17lbs ... if Mark busts and goes over or under the weight he needs then he mush start again but Starts from the last fish he catches. Harry has to choose the lake and how many hours, I would say 48 hours but may be abit to Hard for Mark 😛. the forfeit. if Mark fails Harry should Make a special Cocktail including 5 ingredients of Harry's choice. Mr Crabtree challenge, a modern take on Mr crabtree goes fishing. Too Mr Crabtree and Peter a 10lb carp was huge, now people call huge fish 30lb. They used slpit cane rod, we have carbon blanks, they use flick um reels, we have moden high tech centrepins. My challenge called moden Mr crabtree is, use moden gear in a traditional way, must catch 3 carp, 3 days, on a Mr cabtree style water( lily pads, estate lakes that sort of thing) . One must be a thirty. using traditional baits only , worm, bread, corn etc. One must be caught on the float, one must be caught using a centrepin reel and one must be caught on a method that has been inspired by the book. Harry will judge if that method fits the bill. What do you think? Thanks James

RuCharringtons Drag Race :: Over a 48 hour session Mark and Harry compete by trying to out fish eachother. Every time either catch a fish bigger than their opponents they get to decide an item of Drag the opponent has to wear including makeup. Once the time is up the winner is chosen by a suitable judge.
