It’s a vestige of a time when transportation was strictly horses and/or buggies/stage coaches, and ships. We don’t have to be worrying about people going to work for TRUMP getting to WDC in a timely expedited manner. Planes, buses, trains, cars, do the trick quickly. Communication to nominees and appointees heading in with the new administration is now itself instantly executed. It’s not writing, mailing letters by horseback anymore. There should be two weeks, max, and then comes the inauguration and first day in office. Inauguration day should be ten days before THANKGIVING if the latter holiday is on the 25th of NOVEMBER or later.. and six days if Turkey day comes on the 22nd thru the 24th.. That is what we need. Congress should be in office no later than four days after the election is certified, the latter is done no more than three days after the election. It does not take forever, well unless your CALIFORNIA OR PENN., to count votes. Any state that is dragarsing around, will be without reps until their vote is certified. Electoral college for the presidency meets and votes one day after certification and votes. This should be done, and amendment resolutions or congressional actions, whatever, to get this done this time should be ready to go once JAN. 20th., 2025 gets here. Mach schnell.. chop chop!!! LETS GO! Do it..
