Christina Moran You don’t understand how deficits work do you? Bush came in to office with a surplus left by Clinton. He reduced that to a deficit of more than $1 trillion. Obama came into office and slowly reduced that down to $500 billion, and Trump just ran it back up to $1.5 trillion. So where did that $9 trillion of debt come from? Yes some of it did come because Obama didn’t reduce Bush’s debt to a surplus immediately, but most of it came from having been in two wars that we didn’t pay for, the recession, etc. Therefore, any reasonable unbiased person can see that Obama is not responsible for all of the debt accumulated under his administration.

You idiots are confusing the federal debt and the deficit. The federal debt is the total of all yearly deficits (or surpluses) added together. Under Obama , the federal deficit went down every year except his 1st year in office and 2016 the year the republicans approved 69 billion for the war in Afghanistan. The total federal debt went up as a whole because we were still dealing with 2 wars, and declining revenues from the Great Recession which happened under the final hours of the bush administration.

I think it's hilarious how many different qualifiers he has to add to those sentences in order to make them true statements. Without specifying things like "minorities", "inner-cities", "black homeownership" then none of it would be true. It's pretty easy to paint a grim picture of something once you choose to magnify your focus on more specific aspects. Very good analysis, I agree with most of what O'Reilly said but I disagree on the issue of sacrificing the US economy with a climate change agenda that China and India ignore. I think Obama has done a good job helping to create the Paris Agreement which China and India have joined and are currently taking action in. On that front, I would critique him in not doing enough to regulate CO2 emissions for the US. The attempt at passing the Clean Power Plan is still up to the courts to approve, and without it or other legislature like it, I think we could lose a bit of credibility amongst the other countries in the Paris Agreement.

The Iraqi Prime Minister choose to re-negotiate, so the troops had to come home. You cant just park troops in perpetuity in another country.
