@@aliceinwonderland6198 we already pay a "sugar tax" with the oblong extent of subsidies doled out to grow corn that ends up far to greatly as hfcs, that could be used in great portion for growing something else more healthy. We don't need to do away with all corn, but we should look into other options where growing them is viable, without those decisions being eh, "influenced" by what campaign contributions my shift the direction of the political winds instead of what's purely best for public health and agriculture.
