Any government elected official in the United States Congress is granted life-time retirement pension benefits including lifetime medical, dental, vision, and a comfortable paycheck for the duration of their lives. There is no requirement for years of service. Meaning, you can be elected for 1 single term of 6 years (senate) 4 years (house) you receive benefits for the rest of your life. My uncle was a Missouri state senator and was elected to office twice. He enjoys a 6,000.00 a month retirement for the rest of his and his spouse's life. Yes, this is 100% scam. State and Federal employees are required to work for 20 years before receiving 75% pension if contributions are regular for the 20-year career. This is so ridiculous! There definitely needs to be term limits!! There are so many people in our Senate and other Government seats, that should have been removed years ago! There needs to be Health physicals and Psychological tests done on each person yearly and before they can even be in a position!! If the Dr.s says they are capable, then let them be on a voting ballot! But still there does need to be a term limit, just like Presidents!!
