My nephew was badly hurt and was in Walter Reed Military Medical Center Gary Sinise visited him in the hospital he was very nice and didn't just poke his head in a wave he sat down at his side and talked for as long as he wanted. I will forever be thankful to him for being so kind to him.

I used to donate to Wounded Warrior Project and then they had those scandals and I said I don't want you to send me your crap in the mail anymore,but today I got yet another mailing from them. So I called them and informed them that I'm going to donate to the Gary Sinise Foundation..and they were never going to get another dime from my household. And they said Oh but Gary Sinise supports our foundation!...and so I said "Oh you mean he "USED" to support you guy's.. But now he has his own charity that helps out Veterans and I haven't heard anything bad going on with his foundation..and I would support his charity anyday before I ever supported the Wounded Warrior Project charity again,I mean the Wounded Warrior Project even stole money from my mom whose a Veterans widow. And isn't funny that right after these scandals started happening with the Wounded Warrior Project charity that Gary Sinise went and started his own charity for Veterans? Plus I just found out today that the Wounded Warrior Project only gives 60% of their proceeds to Veterans and so you have to wonder ok so what did they do with the other 40% right?

I am tired of big names claiming all the credit. His foundation uses and relies on contributions from hundreds of vendors and suppliers and then claim all the credit. We've been in that position and are not alone. I'm not saying he's not a decent guy and doesn't deserve credit for honoring our veterans. I'm just tired of the focus always being on him and not the ones providing the financial backing and material support that accomplishes the things he takes credit for.
