Abner: Thank you for showing all the trials and tribulations of hunting. We were out last Saturday evening 1/2 hour before sunset and 1/2 hour after sunset... nothing at all. I hunt the same fields for deer, and that’s when the coyotes are howling 360 degrees around us. The joke’s on me.... ha ha ha ha. It’s all good. Most happy to be out with my buddies. That’s what matters. Thanks once again. Cheers!

Wow, that was great! Thank you for showing the difficulties of the hunt and the non-responsiveness of the coyotes in heat. You are doing a good job of educating us. Your camera operators, your directors and editors do a fine job, too!

Thank you very much for showing the "failure" of hunting in Saskatchewan. Abner endured hardship. That is good to know, good to see, and that inspires and heartens me when I go through the same. Thank you!

This has gotta be one of the hardest places in North America to hunt coyotes. They're very stubborn and winter time they don't like to move much. Great video. And nice double Abner that was a hell of a hunt

It goes down in the history books as Abner's Last Stand in Saskatchewan. There's a song in there somewhere, a campfire classic, a troubadour's delight.

Nice video!... In response to your comment about big Canada coyotes. I don't doubt it. But I know we have some good size dogs here in Illinois also. My partner and I always carry a digital scale with us. A double I killed in 2012 the male weighed 45lbs. In our disbelief we weighed him several times. The female was 27lbs.

I've been hunting coyotes in Alberta since I was teenager, and I've never been able to call one in. I did get a cougar one time tho lol

Try some jack rabbit, coyote howl, pup whine, and coyote fight calls this time of year. They are super aggressive right now. I’ve shot 6 of 10 in the last two weeks with only sitting 6 stands in southern Alberta.

Is it possible for the average Joe to get in contact with someone there at Pelican Lake First Nations to plan a coyote hunt. Do you have to pay to hunting there.

What I like about Abner is he knows the Coyotes in the east in Ohio Pa WV and Canada are a different breed. Not like the west! A bit more of a challenge to be successful !
@deltastructures25469 жыл бұрын
+rednecklowlife Really? The conditions and location may be vastly different, but a coyote is a coyote. The challenge in the East is due to less numbers of animals. Just the same as shooting a deer in CA is harder, much harder than shooting a deer in the Mid West. Even though they are a different species of deer.

You may be some what right about what you said! But there has been studies done on coyotes in the northern east of the Mississippi states and Canada. That shows that they have a mixture of wolf in them! And I don't know the details. But have read that there are different types of species and sub species of coyotes. And the Western coyote is different from the eastern. Even in looks and size!
