Me and a neighbor was talking these kids recently. A 14 year old kid tried to steal one neighbors Kia, couldn’t get into and then stole the one next door. We find out the kid had been getting into trouble at school and she’s blaming on the schools 😑 the father wants to go to the school and see what’s going on. If your child is out here stealing cars at night when they should be at home, that’s a parenting issue, I had a car as a teenager and I had my ass at home

I'm talking about a real hands on support system. I'm talking about getting up with the baby thru the night sometimes so mom can get adequate sleep/rest so she can function a lot better. Fix a few bottles, change a few diapers, get the diaper bag together sometimes so it's one less thing this mom has to scramble to do. Take care of the baby in the moment when that mom is overwhelmed and breaking down because they can't handle it in that moment. Those small things matter a lot. It eases the stress. This is advice for the fathers btw. It truly does take a village to raise a child.

Listen…. I am all for making parents responsible for their kids but I am also the last daughter of 6 kids (3 boys and 3 girls) my older 2 brothers gave my PARENTS HELL from the time we were little. My father did not play that and my mom was worse than him. We were raised in the 70’s - 80’s the “RIGHT” way! The problem with raising kids now is not completely that parents want to be there kid’s friend it’s fear of going to jail or having their kids taken from them by CPS because they put their hands on them and someone decided to call the police. A wealthy person sees a fine as the cost to do what they want, a person on a minimal budget can't move how a wealthy person does thus punishing the person breaking the law how it's intended. $5 to you might be $50 for someone else. The price gotta sting or it's just a fee to break the law.

I agree because the first thing I thought about was the statistic that most people can't afford a $400 emergency without having to borrow money. Additionally, it's well known that most people who are awarded a civil judgment never see much of the financial amount awarded to them. It's one thing to be awarded the judgment and a completely other thing to collect. It will be the same thing with the $5,000 fine. The parents will be fined, but won't be able to pay. There's no way to collect and so essentially, there is no consequence to the parent or child.
