I was engaged pregnant and my sister passed away and she had 4 children, no one in my family could take care of the children and I knew that it was alot for a person to take on,but the last thing I was going to do is let my nieces and nephew be put in the system, so I asked my fiancé if we can get my nieces and nephew he told me No I do not want a ready-made family. So I never got married and I raised my family. I have NO regrets.

Promote some of these black movies that are out or coming out (American Fiction, Candy Cane Lane, The Color Purple) and try to book some of the actors for an interview….js

Well, maybe he should stop having so much hate for the church and being cold and callous about certain situations what he said about those kids was disgusting. Saying that children are in foster homes all the time they can take three more was pretty evil, even though he was hypothetically speaking the comment about the group home, taking on more children was just vile. His demons are going to continue to eat at him as long as he stays in the state of mind.

I’m a Southern wife. I wear a bonnet to bed. Lol!!!! My dreads are down to my tailbone. Have y’all ever tried to roll over and you or your husband is laying on your dreads???? Talk about pain. My husband does not have a problem with me wearing my bonnet to bed. Like Claudia said, he has reminded me before. I’ve woken him up several times to tell him he’s lying on my hair. Lol!!!! Southern black (and white) mamas used to go to bed with rollers in their head. My grandmother had long beautiful hair and she would roll her hair Saturday night so it could be tightly curled for church on Sunday. She did take those rollers out until after she had showered and gotten dressed. The bonnet today is the equivalent of roller in your head back in the day. Lol!!!! If you cannot show yourself in your most vulnerable state to your husband, you have bigger issues. Just my humble opinion. I’m just some random person on the internet. It’s not that serious. What works in my relationship may not work for others. 💛💛💛💛

That's part of it, but not all single parent homes are in abject poverty. There are high paying career oriented women who have children without the father in the picture. The problem is the way they raise their children, period. There are two parent homes who raise monsters, and there are single women who have raised men who became senators, doctors , CEOs and even presidents. It's all on the way a person raises a child.

Al - if you see this. Oftentimes, reoccurring headaches are from dehydration or lack of magnesium in your body. Alcohol causes dehydration and alcohol also depletes magnesium in our body. Magnesium is a natural and we all have it in our bodies. It's needed and works for over 300 body functions. It also helps you sleep, relieves leg pain and etc... So, if you drink alcohol you definitely need to tale the supplements. There's a different daily mg for women and women. And it really works!!! Just an fyi

I am also tired of people outing each other (and it is usually a woman outing a man). There are women in my life who think like this, and it really bothers me. I don’t know what’s so different about me, but I am not one of those people who hangs with the gworls one minute and then laughing at “Aunt Patricia’s” homophobic jokes the next. It actually makes me angry when I hear that shit, and I make sure that it gets uncomfortable when I start asking them WHY they think “fill in blank” is true. Our community has a problem. My husband and I work with a lot of rappers and R&B singers, and it is pretty bad. The homophobia can be oppressive mostly because of how STUBBORN it can be. I’ll never forget the guy who told us his DAUGHTER was gay, and he thought it was because she was ANGRY AT HIM! My husband looked like he wanted to cry. We talked for a a minute, and I had to CONVINCE him that it wasn’t even about him. The idea that she could have BORN gay just didn’t seem real to him. WTF. By the end of the night, he actually called her and introduced us. It was crazy. I had to give him grace because he actually gave us a chance. That was one of LEAST frustrating situations 🤦🏾♀️ I guarantee you that if more of us stood 10 toes in our friendships with LGBTQ, it wouldn’t be so funny or impactful to out anybody. People don’t get “outed” in my home or business. I literally tell them to shut up. It’s easy, and if they don’t like it, they can leave, as there are plenty of cute spots in the neighborhood where they can go. It’s that easy. If you believe that being gay or queer is a “lifestyle choice” = homophobic If you think that a gay man wants your kids = homophobic If you get annoyed when you see a trans person outside = homophobic If you “just can’t understand why they DID THAT to Zia Wade”😱 = homophobic * *and you need some education If you have gay “friends” and you still let BM make jokes about them = homophobic (and you are NOT their friend) You all know who you are. If someone called you homophobic to your face, you’d want to fight…but would you date a man if he told you he’d been with a man before? I didn’t think so. Ask yourself why. I’ll wait.👀

I can’t understand how men have an unrealistic expectation of their women to roll out of bed and be some supermodel, but they be walking around looking all busted and raggedy. We all want our spouse to look good, but some of those expectations are unrealistic and tiring for your partner.

That's ridiculous to give weight loss surgery to inmates because the food that they serve in prison is not conducive to a weight loss surgery diet
