From what I could see VS employees did act within their job description. VS also called mall security and they even had another employee to go run and find out what was taking security so long to get there. VS also could not physically touch Karen when she stretched out in the floor because they would have been liable and/or placing themselves in danger- the purpose of mall security is to handle those kinds of situations. As a former Store Manager with 18 years of experience, the only thing I would have done differently is asked the Karen to leave because her actions (the screaming and chasing) created a hostile environment for other customers. And, for all we know, the mgr may have done just that outside the range of the video.
