As a DIE HARD Notre Dame fan, I can honestly say that the University of Miami Hurricanes were the most feared school in college football for a very long time. They brought the fight to you every game. Also, my top 3 NFL middle linebackers of all time are in this order.....Ray Lewis, Mike Singletary and Chris Spielman.

As far as best athlete I’ve ever seen in a hurricane uniform.... hands down Sean Taylor. The guy could do it all. He could have started on offense for Miami that’s what a completele football player he was. Lots of greatness in the history of that university, but for me it’s Sean T no question!!! Been a canes fan for 40 yrs.Lived off of Ives Dairy Rd , went to Miami Norland jr and sr high. Was there during the heyday's at the Orange Bowl. Seen alot of great player's make their mark at the ''U'' and went on to even bigger thing's in the NFL. Who's the greatest player...? TO MANY to list.THEY ALL gave the ''U'' on the side of their helmet's the GLEAM....Deejay Dallas and Gregory Rousseau are in my humble opinion orange and green to the core.... nuff said

Jerome played in the 84 orange bowl, 86 sugar bowl, and the 87 fiesta bowl. Which was his last game. If the Canes would have won those last 2 games they wouldve been national champions. He was drafted by the Eagles in the 87 draft. His last year in the league he was defensive player of the year with 16 sacks and 100 tackles!!! Dude was relentless
