@@CharlesCramblit-mm7ih could easily be 20. he doesn't miss. every time he's on tv it's literally just a question of whether he carries or not. watching him put the ball on the same board at 40 ft shot after shot, game after game, every single time he's on tv and consistently losing because the righties can actually break the patterns down and make the lanes way easier is frustrating. i would really love to know how a right handed jesper would fare.

This was my first PBA event that I went to in person and it was awesome, but at 32:32 a lady sitting in front of us dropped her water bottle on the bleacher which made Troupe reset. My dad and I think that made him lose his mojo and got in his head for the remainder of the game. You can see at 33:23 he points in the stands after leaving that terrible split , he was pointing towards our section like “nice…” Crazy stuff, but had a great time. Got Norm Duke to sign my stuff and got a picture.
@Golfkid1007 ай бұрын
I think that hurt Troup and the long pause with the rerack at about 30:30 helped Svensson. I appreciate hearing from someone who was there as I didn't catch or understand what happened to cause Troup to reset. Really sad Troup didn't advance as he would have had a really good shot at winning if he beat Jesper Svensson.

complete list of boogs lucky vs unlucky breaks on this broadcast: lucky: 46:41 - flush on a bad shot i’m assuming? it looked wide right to me so i’ll include it 1:07:14 - messenger 10 1:11:25 - big miss inside only leaves 4 pin 1:14:40 - miss wide right goes light mixer not counting the big miss left pocket hit at 1:20:25 as luck because he also threw it harder (jammed it) unlucky: 45:35 - smash 7 1:15:32 - good shot hits hard transition and leaves big 4 BONUS: spares missed makeables: 1 (chopped 3-6-9-10) spares converted: 8 missed 6 pin at 1:26:30 is irrelevant as it didn’t matter; he just walked up and threw it so it wasn’t a full effort shot his luck kind of matches up to everyone else on the show to be honest considering jesper made the bucket the wrong way and only made the finals because troup hit his ankle (and sorry boomers, but consistent 10 pins from pro bowlers in 2024 does not count as “unlucky”)

@mpup547 ай бұрын
if you ever go to one of these events, its every man for themself during the tournament and way worse for the finals, unless Fox wants to put a real hot dish with legs in the front. So if you get up and no one protects the seats, its free reign. You do have to get there very early and sit there doing nothing to hold a seat. So its kind of earned, but I get what you are saying. Perhaps the mom and wife gt up and walked around and had to relocate thereafter, its hard to say. Kyle decided he would be the new girlfriend! Btw is Guppy transforming into a guppy? That was quite a lot of hair today.

32:50 I think Kyle was referenciing Jesper in a recent match where he stopped on his approach when a device somewhere in the building made a sudden loud noise on his approach. There were predictably some idiots in the comments of the clip saying he was "soft" and other stuff like that. They don't seem to realize there is a difference between constant background noise, and a sudden loud noise in regards to breaking your concentration.

I dont think he has many avenues left at that size. You need a way to generate an arm swing and he has short arms and then because he is short he is further up on the approach, so he has to do sort of a wind-up toy action and then come to a full stop with no slide. Its an interesting concept, and I took note of how fast he is moving, as ive not tried 2-handed before, only no thumb 1-handed, which is wildly erratic.

@mpup547 ай бұрын
I think this is generally the argument against those arguing against two handed bowlers and why the rend is taking over the youth and pros alike. I dont think anyone really was that bent about no thumb, one-handed bowlers, because thats actually harder to be accurate with. When you effectively widen the pocket for these 2-handed players, they have an advantage when you are oiling in a way to embrace their high rev shot making. I can imagine they would struggle mightily on drier conditions we used to see with thinner unit oil back in the day. It means people with less revs are going to just carry worse generally because their accuracy needs to be higher with less pocket width than the higher rev bowlers have. I know in the PBA its always been you can deliver it any way you want on any throw, but ive long since left bowling and have yet to learn what ABC bowling denotes for league bowlers when it comes to honor scores and book averages. Are there multple categories or is it still righty/lefty still? If 2-handed didnt get their own category, that would be a shame because Simonsen has already shown us you can hook both sides of the lane on any shot in a game, which would sort of go against what ABC rules used to be about. Someone chime in on this if you know what ABC league rules or what categories bowlers area allowed for sanctioned averages and honor scores. I would guess for unsanctioned events and leagues its anything goes!
