I think what makes Eli’s 2 rings carry a ton of weight is that they were against Brady, Bill, and the Patriots - arguably the greatest dynasty in the league. That would be like if someone like Baker Mayfield beat the Chiefs TWICE in their prime

Jim Plunkett better get in the HOF then if Eli does. His career is very similar to Eli. They just put McMichael in, so honestly I think they’ll put anyone in now if you had a decent pro career. Eli also lead the league in interceptions 3 times. He didn’t even have to lead the league in pass attempts any of those years to do it either. To me it’s cut and dry… are you one of the best players to ever play as a totality. Not just a couple moments. If you have to think about it or if the answer is no, like Eli’s case, then you don’t get in. To put him in with the likes of Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, Reggie White, Emmitt Smith, Tom Brady, Lawrence Taylor, or even is own brother is completely absurd to me. He absolutely isn’t one of the best pound for pound players I’ve ever witnessed and it ain’t even close. The NFL making an exception for him just dilutes the greatest of what the HOF is supposed to be about.

He is a Hall of Famer for being among the top ten in passing touchdowns and passing yards at the time his career ended and those two excellent SB runs... Those are not two things to scoff about. Leading the league in interceptions multiple times? Brett Favre did that, so that isn't alone reason to keep him out of the hall. The . 500 record? Go back to my first two points. Lack of many pro bowl selections? Go back to my first two points.

Walked into everybody house n took that shii over. Til this day he holds the record for most yards thrown in a single postseason and the only qb ever to win a sb with a defense ranked in the bottom 5
