He's the defensive equivalent to Hershel Walker in 1988-89. Phenomenal stats, but doesnt make us better. We traded Hershel after a 1500yd season and turned it into 3 Superbowls. We need to get rid of Micah while his artificially inflated stock is meteoric.

@Illtechnica This comment makes Herschel look bad, honestly. Is it his fault his fault the boys couldn't capitalize on 1,500 yards? Or did they receive two hall of famers in one of the more lopsided trades in nfl history?
@Illtechnica
@Illtechnica Ай бұрын
@@Laidback_616 It wasn’t my intention to make Hershel “look bad.” Hershel just reached his peak sooner than Dallas, as a team, could capitalize on. ‘89 Dallas needed to shore up their roster, and ‘24 Dallas needs to shore up other key positions for a SB run. “Resetting the market” for a mercurial, 1-trick pony edge rusher who has no rush defense, would be catastrophic. He’s Antonio Brown on defense. Pay him, and like AB you’ll never be able to control him. Trade him now while his market is high (like Hershel’s in 1989) and let someone else figure it out.

@@kylelittle8816 Again, podcast don't interfere with a player's availability and they don't do it on NFL property, so they can't tell players they can't do it. u can make all the assumptions u want, u can't prove that podcasts are a distraction. 1 player saying it doesn't make it true. U can't tell players what they can't do on their own time unless it's illegal or harms the shield. And if someone says this harms the shield, they're a moron. Bc if anything, it could actually bring more eyes to the league. I'm sure there were people saying Taylor Swift was a distraction to the Chiefs. What did the NFL do, maximize it to death, more eyes more money and unfortunately they won the SB. If podcast makes players more popular, the NFL is down for that. Btw, that thing in Dallas, did the guy with the podcast speak out against his teammate or did the guy who doesn't have one do that? I haven't seen anybody who has a podcast violate locker room rules by speaking on locker room issues. I don't care to watch any players podcast, but they should have the right to have one.

What’s the issue? You acting like dude is giving away gameplay secrets or something. People just love to make much ado about nothing. This is where we’re at in 2024 though. @@Awkward_Inc3l bro you asked and answered your own question. If he wanted to start a podcast after his playing career, it’d been different. He could then talk about the game freely as he’d wanna be without being messy. Because now, it IS gossiping. Critiquing players he’s playing with/against opens him up for all types of problems, especially if he starts slipping on the field. Having a podcast critiquing the game while being an active player is exactly how he got in this situation.

While we live an autonomous culture, freedom is not unlimited. If someone enters into a personal or business relationship, usually there are parameters into which the parties agree. There are athletes who agreed to sign contracts that have clauses, which prevent the athlete from riding a motorcycle, playing other contact sports, skiing, cliff jumping, etc during their free time. If one works for the government in a state where Marijuana is legal, they can not consume THC during their free time. If someone doesn't like the rules or prohibitions of an agreement, then they don't have to enter into it and are free to do something else.

I think the Micah hype has been insanely premature, BUT I have no problem saying that equating having a podcast with no caring about the team or your performance is such a false narrative it's laughable

I swear people have no lives anymore. What I want is a good sports story. Not to listen to all these podcasts. These guys are good at playing football or entertaining or whatever it is. Stick to that. That doesn’t make you some grand philosopher or arbiter of what’s wrong with the world. I never read Twitter/X and I sure as hell don’t listen to most of these podcasts. Unless they are an entertainer or professional communicator in some form. Yes some former players are an interesting listen on occasion. But You’re in the league three years and people want to listen to you opine about what your team? Your personal life? Your personal performance or “feelings” ? America sure has a lot of time on their hands these days.

I hope teams find a way to stop players from podcasts during the season. Paying guys major Mills to focus on their own pods is crazy.

Chris, if you play for the Yankees, you can't have facial hair or long hair. So you damn sure can tell someone to knock off the podcast.Quit being a simp for these young kids 😂😂😂

The PODcast killed the everyday sports reporter like chris and rob, people go to podcast to get information instead of espn, fx, and cbs. Good for the players

You don’t get real information on player podcasts. All they do is glaze each other and talk about how great they are.

Amen-ra St. Brown and his brother whose name I’m not ganna butcher here have a podcast together, why do you not mention that when listing podcasts. Amen was drafted the same year Micah was and his brother is on his third team and isn’t even a starter.
