Bryan Norcross: Hurricane Milton Maintains 145 mph Winds Quickly Approaching Florida

FOX Weather Hurricane Bryan Norcross said no one in the Tampa Bay area should be breathing a sigh of relief just yet. Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall around midnight between Tampa and Port Charlotte with catastrophic storm surge but the exact location is unknown.

Bunkering down in west palm beach, FL. The outer bands are just starting to come, they are very strong!! the most extreme parts have yet to come. Even some of my neighbors have put up their shutters and evacuated elsewhere and were not even a direct hit. Stay safe everyone

Oh yeah many of us were huddled in one house when at about 3 am we started to hear the sounds of things hitting the windows, then the doors and windows started to shudder and then glass broke and the water came rushing in, we spent the night sweeping the water in a sunken area of the house. By daylight we were all exhausted laying on one bed and went outside to play a game of name that roof. Destruction was everywere.

Almost immediately after making this video, Milton made the right turn that he talks about... and it dropped to 130 mph, down from 145 that he mentions. You can see the right turn and eastern movement at the tail-end of his radar loop. Had he waited 15 more minutes to do his analysis, he may have painted a quite different picture. The northward shift in the models are again back to the south and over Sarasota again. If weakening continues at this rate, it may only be Cat 2 at landfall.

When I lived in south Florida we watched hurricane Andrew coming straight in to south florida, Brian was the hurrucane expert back then and talked us through the landfall until Andrew knocked down broadcast towers and antennas on Saga Bay. The day after andrew I didnt recognize my neighboorhood. Total destruction like a bomb went off. Milton seems like Andrews offspring, Get out!! Brian is the expert and I guess management said uh Brian we need you in a suit and tie and get your hair nice too. Lol Thanks Brian good to hear your voice and see you still in the mix! God bless
