Been watching Mr Norcross since his days on TV in Miami, back during Hurricane Andrew in 1992. If one thing I can tell you, if Mr Norcross says it, believe it. Thanks for the update and I'll keep watching as this unfolds.

Bryan, you predicted this path several days ago. You said the center would pass south of Cuba back on Wednesday. Great job!

Back in the 90's Brian Norcross was the lead meteorologist on our ch 10 in Southeast Florida. In August,I believe, 1992 a wave developed in the Caribbean traveled up to the Carolinas; a depression formed. Brian warned us it could very easily turn back towards Florida. Brian was 100% correct. Hurricane Andrew hit South Florida as a cat 5. I will never forget him and the staff inside their studio safe room still reporting as the building is literally being blown away. 👍👍👍👍To Brian.

Idalia was a cat 4 when it passed Tampa Bay so hopefully this doesn't turn into that! The surge in Tampa Bay was the highest since the 1920 hurricane. It was about 5.7 feet

6:15 - 4ft OVER high tide would be absolutely devastating for Tampa Bay. Tomorrow’s high tide is right around 3ft. That means we’d get 7ft above MLLW, which would be incredibly destructive, and the highest water level I’ve ever seen in my 36 years living in the Tampa Bay Area. I’m willing to bet that it doesn’t come anywhere close to this. I think it’ll stay well-below 5ft, even if it hits at high tide (2ft surge). The highest we’ve ever seen is a little over 6ft. For what it’s worth, Naples was practically a direct hit for Hurricane Idalia, and they saw water levels at 9ft.

So many meteorologists explain things incorrectly. This fellow did a great job of first off saying it correctly and also saying it in a way for those that didn’t study meteorology to understand. I cringe watching some channels. Then of course you have some channels like WESH out of Orlando that hype everything up to be much worse. I guess it is expected, that is. Blue ish hole in Florida where misinformation in the norm.
