There will be no more videos but I hope you all enjoyed all the videos I made of the foxes It was an amazing thing to raise them and have them around as pets and the enjoyment I got for raising them was more than I could have ever imagined, and sharing it with all of you, Fox Fans was a big part of that enjoyment. Helping others to be able to have a pet fox and make their dreams come true was such a wonderful thing I cannot even describe it. Thank you all!!!!> JIM REDMON, Redmon Fox.

REDFOXThomas yeah, hope she rots in hell.
@notcyndi9 жыл бұрын
Good. I hope she suffered exquisite pain and abject terror during her trip to oblivion, none of that pansy dying peacefully in her sleep crap. And that her last thoughts were fear about being sent to hell for killing the foxes. I have a very similar story regarding a cat who loved everyone and would roll around at the feet of complete strangers and beg to be petted (and not do the usual cat trick where they try to entice you to rub their bellies and then they bite you, no, he just wanted to be petted), and a monster who poisoned him, which was of course an easy task, since he was so trusting and vulnerable, also over a matter of a divorce. The question that comes to mind though, is was she murdered? Ostensibly by someone who watched your videos and read what you wrote. If so, I'm by no means in favor of trying to catch the one who did it, I hope the killer gets away free as a bird, I'm just curious about if that's how she died, or if it was by more boring causes (like a drug overdose sounds likely). I don't doubt that you're telling the truth, but you understand, if all it takes to get someone killed is to type up a sob story somewhere on the internet - which perhaps unlike yours, could be completely made up - and say the "perpetrator"'s name and address and count on someone out there to designate himself executioner, that is rather an unpleasant prospect, because that is kind of what you did there. I can certainly imagine this Ann perpetrating such a scheme to get YOU killed, for instance.

As a field biologist Id like to say... Yes in a lot of cases your fox would be hostile towards fox kits from other mothers.. What you havnt considered is that in many cases female foxes will stay within family territory and help raise future litters from their mother or even sisters, and that this behavior acures when the territory has an abundance of food.. And since this fox is being raised it would have plenty of food and could take on this trait..
@Viccatrix9 жыл бұрын
:/ aaaaand just read the description.. I think foxes are the most lovable animal on earth and I have just short of an obsession with them, theyre the reason I became a biologist and have done a few other things with my life.. The thought that anyone could go and kill a fox is just an unspeakable injustice.. I hope that bitch reincarnates back as a vole for the rest of eternity..

"A mother would kill another mother's kitten", this would only happen if one entered the other's den or territory. It's a huge myth that a fox will kill other kits. Foxes (red foxes at least) often live in family groups. (Not like wolves, the dynamic is entirely different). Non-breeding females (often the breeding female's older kits) even help raise the breeding female's kits, some may even start lactating. Foxes are great mothers, and fox dads are the best dads. I'm a wildlife rehabilitator (I've worked with and helped raise hundreds of these sweeties) sometimes (not often though) if we have fox kits within earshot of an adult fox, the fox will go into mommy/daddy mode and become anxious and try to vocalize to them. We sometimes have to move them to the opposite side of the building because of the stress. Foxes with kits also make amazing foster parents (if orphans come in, sometimes they can be placed in a known den with other kits and their mother, they are usually accepted if there are no threats around). These animals are sweeties. :) I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident, my heart really goes out to you, that sucks.

Unbelieveable that some one could be so cruel and ignorant!! Those precious little foxes don't deserve to be harmed by anyone!! People like that will be punished one way or another! Just sit back and watch,what comes around goes around! CARMA!!

Pat Rose Oh, if only that were true, but karma is an unreliable mistress. There is someone who comes to mind who desperately needs to die.... but is still alive and 71 years old. I suppose this person will be dead in 25 years, but would that be karma? Fact is, most bad things go unpunished. Good that this one didn't. If you can call it punishment and not luck.

If they don't pay for their wrongs in this life ,then they will pay in the next! People cant do hateful things and get away with it!
@notcyndi9 жыл бұрын
Pat Rose A myth, invented by wrongdoers, to tell to the people they're hurting, in order to make them more complacent about being hurt. Also by parents trying to comfort their kids when they're up late at night unable to sleep and worrying about death some day in the future. Also by egotistical and hateful people who think they're the best things ever to grace the Earth with the imprint of their footsteps, who hate their neighbors for every difference from themselves and think they're entitled to rewards and their neighbors to punishments. Throw in a few tall tales, and some ignorant peoples' pitiful naive and misguided attempts to explain the world around them and that is the origin of religion. It's all born of various forms of human conceit. Next life, bah, sometimes there's justice in this one, but usually not, it's nice to hear there was in the case of the foxes' killer but it's the exception, not the rule, and don't you forget it.

I'm so sorry. Foxy seemed to be so gentle. What a horrible way for anyone to do such a thing.
@jimredmon402610 жыл бұрын
She was very gentle and she was very loving, if she was not out on her cable she had free run of the house and would sleep on the back of the couch and play just like the dog. Her and Riley dog were best friends. Riley dog was very upset over her and buddy's murders also. she was like having a cat for the most part when she was in the house but outside she was more like a dog. Raising her and having her for my own pet was one of the best experiences of my life and I will always remember it with happiness, and that is saying something because I have done alot in this life. Foxy and Buddy were great foxes. Buddy was so beautiful when he got big. In my new home he would sit at the top of the stairs and look out over the living room like he was surveying his kingdom. and of course he would also use the stairs to get on top the book shelf and attack my spider plant.

What Andrea did was a case of "No good deed ever goes unpunished." Tragically the foxes knowing nothing of what was happening paid the price for your altruism. Tempting though it might be, do not blame yourself. There is no way you could have known she'd stoop to it. Abducting her child was to be expected but, killing two foxes who had nothing to do with any of it apart from the fact you were their owner was not. I only hope you can be at peace with yourself knowing everything I told you.
@everstarcatcher24769 жыл бұрын
Well spoken! Couldn't have said it better myself. KZbin is amazing with wonderful commenters like you.
@AdamApplebaum9 жыл бұрын
Well thanks it is only because of the few but proud people who appreciate my contributions to KZbin that I still bother to comment and occasionally upload a video or two when I feel like it. I find it so easy for someone to just find the flaw in everything instead of taking the time to try to see the good in things. I am sure if someone wanted to be a jerk they'd simply blame him for taking in a pair trying to escape abuse but the fact is no one expected the foxes to be targeted. As for the abused I doubt they expected what they got. It isn't as though a victim thinks to themselves " Yay time to get victimized today!" We live our lives hoping for the best and sometimes things don't go how we plan in the worst of ways. The important thing is to try and pick ourselves up and move forward. Not a trivial thing to do emotionally I know especially in the face of atrocities like this one. I don't blame him if he hasn't forgiven the deed yet. I hope that someday he can find it in himself to push past it because there is no worse fate in my books than being held down by a grudge. A constant seething anger for which there is no recompense. I know it because I have been there and something I still grapple with today. Be that as it may I choose to use it as a driving force to do things many have doubted I could. It may not make what has happened ok and I may still have flashbacks here and there but, I refuse to let it stop me from achieving what I want in life if I want it bad enough. As such I am happy to provide a bit of relief to those who have faced such tragedies. Although I do not do this for appreciation it sure lifts my spirits a bit when I am appreciated for what I do.

Eventually she had to move and she tried to take my dog with her but we were tired of it and we told her to stop or else we would call the police.she stoped and she moved away (thank goodness). I understand. I once "tamed" a wild fox to where it would take food from my hands. He was very young, I'm guessing his first winter alone and he must have been struggling to feed himself. Later he met a lady fox and had kits, and would get food to take back to them, and let me follow him to them. So I do understand foxes a bit, and for the record I really enjoyed your video. Do you still have those 4 kits? Well, they would be grown by now, but I was wondering if you still raise fox?

I'm really sorry to hear that someone would hurt a innocent animal to get back at you. I hope they didn't suffer too much. :(

I saw that they had been killed, I'm sorry. That was a fowl move that should have never been performed. Her reactions were almost like the response of a cat with how she played and watched. In the future when I have the room and the time do dedicate I would love to put my time into caring for a fox. Such inquisitive creatures. So beautiful, one cannot forget just how recently they have been in human care, still with a touch of the wilderness in them.

I raised a vixen when the mother was hit by a car. I raised her for 3 years until she had pancreatitis. I had to donate her to Maymont Animal preserve in Richmond, because the local vet wouldn't help. I still visit her every now and then. She lives with 6 others and gets along with them, but I learned very quickly that foxes love to dig, and lost two sofa cushions and a spot of carpet, lol. Foxes are best to be raised by pros like you, Jim. :) Not idiots like me that allowed her to get sick. :(

Those kits are the most adorable animals.

Looks like she's being a little rough, but I assume it's because she's so big and the kit is so tiny :) Still cuter than heck though
