reading through these comments gets me frustrated so i have to speak up. i've known sam and rado since jr. high. they haven't changed in the slightest over the years. still very grounded and have endless creativity. contrary to speculation, sam nor anyone in the band does any drugs. except the pot. sam has always been a very skinny guy. the band tours for months on end in a van. vegas one night, san diego the next, etc. they work very hard to bring joy to your ears. appreciate it.

@nayr4974 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this comment! I probably saw them five years ago as an opener for another band I was seeing. Didn't know them at all, but my pal told me we should go early and see them. They put on an awesome show! Music aside, it was an honest-to-goodness Rock Show. I could dig it. Last night ended up watching Tim Heidecker and Rado on What's in My Bag? And I was like "Oh yeah, Foxygen!" Had forgotten about them. Rado seemed very genuine, like a good dude. So, thanks for sharing your comment. No time for negative energy comments and I'm glad I haven't seen them. But when I saw them live, they seemed anything but put on. Sure, they have clear influences, but that doesn't mean they aren't solid and hard working and fun musicians.

Who does the mixing for them? Do they oversee it themselves? This song is masterfully orchestrated and mixed. I LOVE how there is a barely audible bass and, I think, the bass string on the guitar, playing throughout. It's such a subtle touch --- subtle undertones. Reminds me of some of Fleetwood Mac's songs. You can listen to some of their songs for years, and then listen for the first time with headphones and you hear faint, subtle undertones you NEVER had noticed before.
@jupiterkenser67205 жыл бұрын
Sam and Rado are the most underrated geniuses of their time. I see them more as cinematic musical hyper-creative directors rather than a band. Everything they put into the public is very well thought out aesthetically. I wish they got more widespread appreciation.

I agree but star power was supposed to be the album they were supposed to get even better then 21st ambassadors but instead they regressed into their old recording style and it really hurt them. Instead of progressing they just kept doing what they did when they were kids and most people expect bands to get better but not here

I cant write negative words in regards to Foxygen. I love them and I wish something comes forward from the band, Love you Rado, Sam and Shaun. The music world knows you have it. May God give you the wisdom to be what you are so good at, producing music we love. Please gentlemen, we love you. Come together! Use every tool you have to come back stronger. More tunes more often.

For everyone that thinks their so smart by saying "This is a copy of other 70's bands" Yeah no crap... that's what their going for. That's how all music is, everyone is inspired. And Foxygen did it right considering the sound fantastic.
