I'm not really into make-up stuff. However this was very interesting for me, and I definitely can see where the make-up artist is coming from. Some of the things she spoke of, such as lack of lipstick & lack of stockings (nylons) I recall my Dear Mum talking about about Australia for a young lady during WW2. Mum said they dyed their lips red by using red crepe paper & for the stockings it was just as described here ie paint the legs & then add a line to replicate the side seem of the stocking.
