To say Brad was in good form when he was dropped is a bit wild, we were throwing away some leads around that time, and there were a few moments in that time where a younger keeper could have saved us some points. Lloris had to come in and play, it was right to sign him.

@614Amsterdam8 ай бұрын
@@interstellarbeatteller9306 MLS has its own forms of nuances and systems that do mean good managers still perform. Is it directly applicable to a relegation? Maybe not. But it’s ignorant to dismiss it entirely when that’s currently the best litmus test of his ability as a coach. Furthermore, the draft is hardly a factor in MLS teams anymore. The lack of relegation means it’s easier to build a strong squad with stability. The main constraint is the salary cap + too many games for thin squads. IE. Columbus crew is currently underperforming in the league because they’re in the champions league final and had to heavily rotate their squad to maintain that.

This Levy imprint is what we continue to see today. AVB wanted Hulk, Willian and Moutinho. But the club gave him Dempsey, Dembele (baller) and Lloris. Levy also thought signing Gedson was just as good as signing Bruno Ferndez..we could have bought Hazard, Grealish, Tomiyasu and so many good players that different managers at Spurs asked for, but instead they were given knock off versions. No way is Vicario signing better than David Raya, glad that illusion has been cleared up! Levy has been good for developing the stadium and other supporting infrastructure but now the club needs a Perez-esque football oriented Chairman backed by a new ownership - to take Spurs to the next (trophy) level.
