We will absolutely regret it. At this stage of the championship, especially the ones fighting for the title will not be very keen on taking huge risks and make dangerous overtaking manouveres (basically any manouver in this case), so we'll just see a massive snooze festival. The race will be decided on the quali session and _maybe_ on the start of the race. And then that's it.

@wallymcguire20332 жыл бұрын
Yea, if someone hits the wall in a high speed section in the early laps when the cars are close together it’s going to get bad fast. If they bounce back into the track where visibility is limited, lives will be decided by who has the quickest reflexes. In 2021, it seems silly to be racing on brand new tracks with this risk level. We have all the room in the world to build tracks with proper visibility and run-off so why take the risk? I hope everything goes well this weekend but I can’t see the race happening without at least one or two major incidents.
@ab8jeh2 жыл бұрын
@frosty snow Montreal really doesn't have blind corners like this, maybe turns 6 or 7 but there are more generous run-off areas in there. It's also high risk, but in terms of probabilities nothing tops this track. I do get your point, but no this is over the line in my opinion. But ok, it's just an opinion. Mercedes is too far ahead. When Bottas on mediums can get one over on Verstappen on softs... it's pretty obvious what were in for this weekend. Hamilton will take pole. He won't pull away much on Sunday, but he'll have a tyre surplus.

IN FP1 VER WAS FASTER ON HIF 1ST LAP ON HARDS THAT LH AND BOTTAS FIRST 3 ATTEMPTS ON SOFTS. The RB has to change suspension and the car was behaving differently going from hard to soft. The merc went from soft to medium and not much of a diff.

Exciting! So looking forward to the rest of the weekend. Understand the apprehensions, however, these are the ultimate professional drivers who will exhibit their skills at driving fast and staying safe. There are dangers on every task, this one is no different. Let's just pray and hope nothing untoward happens and we have a grand racing weekend as we do every race week.
