He uses a lot of words to say very little. He poses rhetorical questions, questions that might get to the heart of the conflict, but does not venture any answer. What happened before 1948 might be interesting to historians, but it doesn't explain what has happened since. He keeps alluding to hopes for a negotiated peace, while never mentioning the actual terroristic actions that keep derailing the efforts at arriving at a settlement since 1948. What is it that the Palestinians want? That is the only question that matters, and sadly any observer of the conflict who is honest knows the answer- they want to avenge their humiliation at the hands of the Jews, no matter the cost to themselves and their future.
