Been a long time since I came to this video - since the boats are out of production now. But the answers on the vents are that the inlet faces aft when set for heavy seas and the "trough" mentioned is the structure of the dorade boxes which are plenums that contain air pressure, but not a direct stream of air. Inside the dorade box is a upward flow inlet or "mushroom" that allows are pressure to create flow up and into the labyrinth before it flows back downward into the cabin, as well as exit holes [scuppers] for water to drain back out.. So while no quantity of water comes in it can be quite humid and moist air if the inner vent is open inside the cabin.

Did you turn off the stabilizers intentionally? Were there any differences you felt when the stabilizers were off? On the video, it does not show any difference.

Off subject, but how do you keep water out of the fresh air vents on deck?

The vents lead to what are called "Dorade" vents. The pipe leading to the interior comes nearly to the top of the box and is offset from the inlet cowl. The down pipes also have adjustable lids to reduce air flow or totally seal the opening.

In this video, much like the others, when water comes over the bow or sides it seems to be trapped on the deck in a trough of some sort. Is there not an outlet towards the back?

I would have designed it so there was a channel overboard between the cabin and these boxes to evacuate quicker. I don't like all this free surface effect accumulation - not good for stability.

WHY would you use WHITE generated descriptive captions when the video is virtually all white or light grey due to the wave "froth" etc??? Some poor quality control or even incompetent "thinking".
