Reader Mag lock Exit button and doorbell Kit Installation video | FPC Security Outdoor Keypad

Wanted to take a moment and commend FPC. I recently purchased a similar kit to the one depicted in this video. The hard installation went pretty straight forward. Make a few holes, drill a few screws and the hardware was mounted. Then I was left with dangling wires.Looking at the manuals they seemed like you needed a degree just to figure out what wires do what. Then I watched this video and all seemed a little better and made a little more sense. I went a step further and used my laptop at the site of the installation and followed step by step with this video and connected all the wire just as they did. Even programmed the keypad just as they showed. Worked perfectly 100% the first time and there was no smoke. Thanks FPC for the video, made my life easier as this was the first time I had ever installed a mag lock.

thanks for the video very simple tutorial step by step. I have one question, why you connect the (+) and (-) of exit button to the power supply? pls reply,thank you

Thank you for your message. The reason that the + and - are connected to the exit button is so you can connect power to the LED light from the exit button. If you have any further questions please let us know.

Hi,what is the use of door contact in keypad/reader?

The use of the Door contact is strictly to connect to an alarm system. So for you specific application you will have no need for it.
