It’s my headcanon the seven Torna blades (except Mikhail as he survives to be recruited), after their deaths, are revived by Pneuma by restoring their core crystals so that they can be reawakened by the gang to be on our side this time around for a second chance in life.

honestly that works for all of them except Akhos and Patroka (since their cores were absorbed by Amalthus (then again Amalthus does drop core crystals, he's the only enemy in the entire game with a 100% legendary core drop, so perhaps some of them were salvageable from his corpse)). When Akhos was upset about Obrona vanishing Malos said that there was no time which always made me think that the cores of Obrona and Sever would be left behind, Mikhail and Patroka didn't exactly have the time to grab the cores for Perdido or Cressius either. Also in the case of Cressius and Perdido it seems odd to me that Mythra would purposefully damage the blade cores (seemingly killing the blades) while leaking Patroka relatively unharmed (the fact that Mythra knew Mikhail in the past never seems to be mentioned in the main game (at least as far as I can recall) but that fact alone would excuse her leaving him alive) if there was no way for blade cores to be repaired, why kill the weapons when it'd probably be just as easy to kill their wielders and take the weapons for yourselves?

@@Eclipsed_Embers What I had in mind for Akhos and Patroka was their core crystals being restored with whatever info Pneuma had on them into their bodies, because their corpses are still perfectly intact in the cutscene after Amalthus kills them. But will still remain as flesh-eaters because their bodies are such, at the cost of their past lives’ memories of course. Only because I don’t think flesh-eater blades can revert to core crystal form when they perish, lore wise. Also, NG+ Akhos and Patroka have flesh-eater cores just like their story counterparts.

For those unsure of what their weapons are I'll break it down. First off all of them have unique weapons but unlike say Roc's dual scythes these are clones of other weapons with some different properties. Akhos is an Axe clone but a healer Patroka is a megalance clone Mikhail is a twin rings clone but a tank Obrona is also twin rings but an attack blade this time Perdido is an ether canon clone Cressidius is a knuckle claw clone but a tank Sever is the same as Cressidus knuckle claw but tank

You can only get them in New Game+. They're just like any other rare blade (random drops for core crystals), except for Mikhail you talk to him in the tower that character will be his driver. Release him and then talk to him again with a different character to change drivers.

It bothers me that in the main game Mythra just killed these blades. Like why would she do that? Because their drivers are bad guys? Blades usually take the characteristics of their driver so if anything these guys were just victims of circumstances.

Mythra when killing the blades didn't know the torna members where flesh eaters the idea is to disarm the enemy without killing them killing the blades is a way of doing this if a blade dies the driver is now unarmed and even if they escape they can't reawakened their blade. Certain blades like obrona had to be killed so her powers of anti either can't be used anymore

@@yourpalgamma5085 in this case wouldn't it be better to kill the driver though? a living driver can always just go and find another blade, Torna is in the habit of sinking entire transports full of core crystals, they could always just take 3 or 4 new cores as replacements. by killing the driver not only would they reduce Torna's numbers in a more permanant manner but they'd also get their blades. Obrona's ability to control ether is basically a perfect counter against any blade other than the Aegis (I'd assume that Malos would also be immune to her power) and Cressidus and Perdido were mentioned to be an incredibly powerful combination, only an idiot would pass up the chance to get the three of them. Honestly the only Torna blade that I can understand just killing is Sever, not only does he not seem particuarly useful (he seems to be more of a front to hide Malos's power than a decent blade in his own right) but he still seems pretty aggressive, mean-spirited and sadistic even when obtained as a NG+ blade, like I can fully picture NG+ Sever finding a way to defect back to Torna because personality wise he seems pretty much perfect for Malos, same goes for Obrona and Akhos but at least NG+ Obrona seems non-evil.

Fun fact, I got akhos out of a common core crystal with no boosters as I was just memeing about my unfortunate luck with legendary cores I went with a common as a joke and even I said ‘come game, at least give me akhos’.
